The low down
I've been eating here for years as I live above the restaurant..... The best part of this place is the convenience. The food is OK-- but nothing to go crazy about. Burgers are ok-- the steak sandwich is good. Their sandwiches in general are decent. But everything else is mediocre at best. It's not very cheap for what you get either. There are much better diners throughout the city. But what else stays open to midnight and delivers?

A brilliant place to eat
This diner was recommended to us by our hotel concierge (The Cosmopolitan), and we couldn't thank him enough; 10/10 in all areas, food, service etc etc. Due to it's close proximity we went everyday for breakfast, sometimes dinner, and also for a late night snack; what you can't manage to eat in the diner, you are most welcome to take with you. They also deliver to your hotel too. Cannot wait til my next trip in April to experience the delights of the huge menu.

Can't wait to return!
We visited New York for three weeks this year during the time of Fleet Week. We found Gee Whiz on our second day and ended up eating there for dinner and lunch on at least six occasions. We even brought my in-laws to "our favorite" find when they flew in to spend a couple of days with us. This is truly a neat little treasure. Hope you get to try it!

Our fave diner
This is simply a wonderful diner. the staff are friendly, the food is excellent and the prices are pretty darn good for the tribeca/bpc area.
