Don't waste yor time and money
I went to the restaurant with my boyfriend and some friends and I was very embarrassed that I brought my friends there. I’ve been there 9 month ago and I had much better experience than now. The food was decent, place was almost empty(there were 4 more people there beside us).Yes it is very convenient that you can bring your own wine, but. The waitress gave us 4 heavy duty water glasses for the fine bottle of wine we brought with us.The wine glasses are not that expensive, why can't restaurant give wine glasses to the customers so they can enjoy the wine. The main course we ordered which was lamb kebab, was not eatable, you feel like you are drinking vinegar with your meat. The chicken kebab was a little better, but a far cry from real chicken kebab. The only positive side was the bill.It was pretty reasonable for not pleasant expirience. If you are trying to save money, but don't care about your food, then you can try Gazala Place ,but if you are looking for a pleasant evening and good dining expirience, look for another restaurant where you will be served decent food and enjoy your drinks from proper tableware.

Wonderful food and experience!
It makes me really sad to read any negative reviews about this place - my fiance and I love it! The food is delicious, especially the hummus, kebab, and flat bread! The service is quick and caring, and the food is always spiced deliciously. It's a small place, so call for a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit. And it's BYOB! If you're looking for a great combination of atmosphere and food, this is the place to go!

My favorite place in the world
I am a Mid Eastern food fanatic. This woman's grape leaves are sublime. The different filo pastries are amazing. I've had one of the lamb dishes before, and I enjoyed it. I went to the restaurant the first time 3 months after it opened. The owner was standing in the window making one of the filo meat pastries. I ended up ordering a couple - melt in your mouth. She is a wonderful lady, told a little me about herself, was really pleased that someone really appreciated the food. I guess I'm lucky that I didn't experience any of the waitresses mentioned - everyone has been exceptional when I've been there. Sometimes service can be slow, it's a small kitchen. After managing a restaurant with a teeny kitchen, i try to be a little understanding about things. The restaurant itself cannot seat more than 20, and that's crowded. It is truly a tiny gem in H.K.

Overrated Food
I ordered hummus, which was tasteless and a grilled fish, which was not meaty. The falafel was overcooked. The soup was bland. Would not go back.

Finally, good middle eastern food!
This place hit all the right notes. After trying and failing miserably to find that Middle Eastern place that had fresh ingredients, was fully prepared in-house, authentic and interesting, this one is it. Tiny place, but it definitely feels authentic. The service was a bit slow, but the food was definitely worth the wait. Prices and portions are such that you can try a lot of things without breaking the bank. They offer a lot of options to sample what they have; they are proud of their lineup--and they should be.

Hidden Jewel
There are a plethora of places to dine in on 9th avenue, but Gazala's Place is one I can recommend easily. The waitstaff is so friendly & entertaining. The food is authentic & tasty. I had spinach pie, cucumber soup & a unique dessert that was out of this world.

great
Light & Fluffy falafel - not over seasoned, smoky baba ghannouj and great hummus & tahini to compliment the tasty house salad, the boreks (piled high at the storefront) are delicious also !! The owner and waitstaff are very friendly.
