    Good place

The menu has something for everyone. The music was great and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend checking it out.

    What a let Down...

I was there with two other people and we decided we would split everything. For an appetizer we got the shrimp and lobster Quesidillas (they were ok, nothing to write home about and over priced), and we also got the mango salad we were making fun and called it backyard branch salad you could literally choke on the lettuce if you chewed it the wrong way. Then for are meals we shared the mushroom ravioli (unappetizing - too garlicy and just barely edible). And then we got the margarita pizza (I mean that was ok but you really cant mess that up)! For are drinks we had the lychee martini (I mean I would have to say that was the worst lychee martinis we have ever tasted - it was way to strong and just wasnt good)! The only good part about the place was the live music other than that it was too over priced and the food was not it.

Good food and wait staff, lousy management

The food was lovely, the wait staff helpful, the jazz at tad too loud, but otherwise nice place, but don't pay your bill when it's first presented if you intend to sit around and maybe have another drink or just chat with your guests. Once we paid the bill, they could care less what happens to you, and told us about their 2 hour long wait at the door and if we intended to stay for drinks to do it at the bar [as if there was room for 11 there]! They were unaccomodating, and didn't care that we had a reservation; their attitude was like, okay, move on along, buddy! so we decided this would go into our two-rule book of visits: first and last!

    Awesome Night

Had an awesome night in the garage for dinner and stayed after to listen to some jazz. was the one dinner from our stay that stands out. all were good but it had something special. good choice of food, drinks and atmosphere and music choice and volume was perfect. would return in a flash

    Great romantic night with atmosphere

I took my boyfriend here for a birthday dinner with 2 other friends. Although it was a hot summer evening and they were having AC problems, we had a wonderful time. Try sitting upstairs in the balcony- great view and you can enjoy the live jazz music. Drink menu was wonderful, appetizers, food, and dessert were all great. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Being a New Yorker, I go to many restaurants and few I would revisit, this one I look forward to my next trip!

    Very Unsatisfying.

Our sidwalk table was subpar, with no tablcloth, tiny and uncomfortable. Prices were high; the calamari appetizer was below average; the sea bass entree nicely done but too small a portion for the price. The waiter rudely interuppted us numerous times with that annoying "How's everything going?" Dessert - run of the mill. Overall - quite mediocre.

    Speaking as a Brit...

I can only say that i found Garage a great place to eat. My steak was the biggest I've ever had and tasted great. My wife had the stuffed breast of chicken and said that it was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the Jazz gave the place a fantastic atmosphere. I can only think that the dissatisfied reviewer's unhappiness had more to do with the size of his share of the bill than with his eating experience. We went there twice on our trip to NYC and wouldn't hesitate to go there again.
