Galway Pub

Went to Galway Hooker the other night and had a blast!! A couple girlfriends and I went for happy hour ($4 deal!!) and stayed to eat. Food was great... sliders were small but delicious and suprisingly filling. They served the fries with an awesome currry sauce. The chicken pot pie was unbelievable... amazing puff pastry on top. The service was fast and pleasant and the crowd was cool. Not to uptight, but not too sloppy. We will definitely be back!

The Bar is fine as far as bars go. Basically Average. Why I won't go back again. The bartenders clearly don't like their jobs and treat you as if you are asking a lot out of them to pour you a drink.

Just want to say thank you to the Galway hooker! Had a blast there last weekend, went there after work with 6 friends, had the time of our life, Sat upstairs at the bar and a hot blonde bartender took great care of us. The music was really good too, the DJ even played a couple of requests for us, Cool vibe to this place and if you have not been there yet, its a must do on any night out.

Please, DO NOT waste your time going to this bar. Hit up one of the other bars on the street instead. The table service was among the worst experiences I have had in my life! First, a friend ordered a Jack & Coke, and the waiter brought him a Cranberry & Vodka. He tried to tell us that this RED drink was indeed a Jack & Coke.... (WTF?) and after a few mins of arguing, he begrudgingly took the drink back and brought out the CORRECT drink. Then, after not being able to track him down for 45 mins, we got our check. After asking him to split it on two credit cards (not a terribly difficult task), the waiter had charged both cards for MORE than the TOTAL of the bill! (I didnt even know that this was possible) After pointing this out, he proceeded to charge our cards AGAIN!

The name may be Irish, but don't be fooled - this is no pub. The front is loungy and cool, the back has pool tables and a more laid back feeling. The food is excellent and the cocktails are expertly made. The wine list is extensive and the bartenders are knowledgeable and really friendly. Definitely check it out!

I went to Galway Hooker last night and expected to get OK food after reading the reviews and was very pleasantly surprised. Food a bar the food was outstanding and very reasonable. We started with humus and the French onion soup, I have to say it was the best French onion i have ever tasted i am still thinking about it. We then had a Galway Hooker burger and salmon sandwich the burger was very juicy and flavorful and the salmon was very fresh and served simply in a whole wheat pita which was a nice healthy option in a bar. I have to say well done Galway Hooker on a nice well rounded and tasty menu i am looking forward to going back.

I went here on Saturday with some friends to have burgers and we where blown away. The meat was juicy and very tasty and the burgers came on delicious buns with a choice of sides and onion rings I thought it was a better burger than Stoned Crow. The portions were extremely generous and service was pretty good sometimes a little slow but the place was packed. I also noticed they do a $10 brunch that comes with 2 drinks! We ended up moving to the bar and staying for the night the place had a nice unpretentious crowd and played great music and bar staff was very entertaining and drink was reasonably priced.
