We are vegetarians so finding interesting food is sometimes a quest. We have eaten here twice. Both experiences were outstanding. We started with a creamy guacamole and crispy, salted in house chips. There was just the right amount of chunks of avocado to give it a satisfying texture. Tonight's cheese enchiladas were beautifully presented. The red sauce has heat, a bit of a bite and most importantly a smokey warm flavor, definitely not the typical spicy red sauce found elsewhere. The rice and crushed black beans offered a nice counterpoint to the sauce. It left me wanting more. Previously I had had the chile rellenos served stuffed and almost fillet. Filled with chopped vegetables, it was a sophisticated culinary surprise. This is truly urbane cuisine, full of flavor, inventive variations on traditional dishes and a visual treat. One of the best restaurants in the Heights.

i've eaten here several times since they've opened and been very pleased each time. i am a native of texas and it satisfied my cravings quite nicely! tacos are delicious. appetizers equally so, and my ladies night dinner compatriots loved the flautas as well! highly recommended for food lovers.

My wife and I have had dinner there three times. Each time has been very satisfying, and we will make it a regular place to dine out. The tacos we've had are not at all like the previous reviewer's description; the tortillas have good corn flavor and the fillings, especially the fish, are superb. Last time I tried the enchiladas, one beef and one chicken. Both were very good, but I preferred the chicken. Prices are quite reasonable. You may wait a bit during peak times when the small kitchen gets lots of orders, but the floor staff are pleasant and helpful.

Really had hoped this place would be good but unfortunately my take out experience last night was poor. The soft corn tortillas they use taste like cardboard and I have no idea how one can dry out pulled pork like this. I am one and done with this place.
