Delish Kosher Goodness
My family was in town the other night and they only eat Kosher so I decided to take them to Galil. OMG it was so good! The meat was super fresh and perfectly cooked. It was a bit pricier than normal, but hey...it's Kosher, also the portions were double the size I'm used to in Manhattan...can't WAIT to go back

Beware of the Cinnamon
My pregnant wife desired a Moroccan dish and the meatballs appeared to be just right. It was quite a shock, however, when we opened the container at home and realized that there was an absurd amount of cinnamon in the dish, so much that it was not edible for us at all.

New management, new menu, all the better!
Definitely new owner/manager. Transitioning to a new menu. We had an incredible lamb tangine and great vegetable/couscous soup. Mousssaka was also excellent. Owner came by and was quite friendly and genuinely interested in our opinions. Our dessert was a slice each of a chocolate marzipan a chocolate hazelnut cake, as well as sorbet. Happy all around. I imagine the previous reviewer would be happier if he/she goes back in another month. Anyway, I think it's a real turn for the best!

We loved it.
We had such a great experience at Galil. They should change the name of the restaurant to something else because there is no comparison in the quality of food as well as the service verses all the years we've been going there. The ambiance is great, the music is lovely, the service is outstanding and the food is D e l i c i o u s . We are definitely going back but this time it's not because is Kosher. P.S Ask for the 14 layer homemade cake with raspberry sorbet it's yummy. Jessica. E.

Yes, probably it's a new management
I came back to one of my favourite restaurants with my friend in May. What happened to that lovely place? The soup I ordered was ice cold and definitely at least 3 days old, the "fresh" baggett was defrosted, waitress was absolutly careless and I got tired from interrupting my dinner by "new manager" who asked me about everything, including personal. Complimentary dessert is not eatable. Customer service is so poor...

Romantic and yummy food
I love this restaurant. The waitresses are always so sweet and willing to help. The food is excellent- if you know what is good and just order that you will always come away with a huge smile and full belly. The lamb tagine is amazing- we always make sure they have it before we come, the fries are amazing, the falafel balls are the best ever!! Get the chummus platter with falafel and Israeli salad, lamb tagine, and the cous cous with vegetables. Also, the chicken soup and kibbe soup are both wonderful and spicy. Perfect for a date.
