A bit more stylish than other moderately-priced Thai restaurants in the Village, this is a great "date" restaurant. Make sure to check out the sink in the restroom!

Galanga is a small thai restaurant and I always feel cosy and relaxed inside. My friend had a birthday dinner there and I fell in love with this place. I've brought a few friends afterwards and they love it too. The best food is definitely their duck salad. mmm.. The service is great.. one time, I mentioned to the waiter that it felt kinda hot.. and they turned up the ac for me instantly.. the prices are very reasonable as well.. juust watch out when u wlak down to the bathroom cus the lights blidn you a little..

The price is definitely right...dinner for 11 people came out to $200, and that includes beverages, appetizer, and tip. Amazing, no? And the food was terrific... hot, fresh, and authentically Thai. The service was a bit lacking - Galanga is in a tiny space that can make for chaotic atmosphere when you have a large party dining. But I've been dreaming about their spicy drunken noodles ever since...

Many delicious authentic tastes to be had here for a serious bang for the buck. The heat is turned down alittle to protect the chili shy from true Bangkok heat but the attractive and attentive staff will eagerly turn it up they way they would have it. There red curry is the best I've enjoyed in the city. The place is small but very comfortable, done in simple modern style the Thai do so well. Reminds me of Cafe Asean when it first opened only better!
