    Poor delivery service

While I like the food, the delivery service has to be the poorest in NYC. The food always comes missing something, late, or cold. They always have an excuse and you have to wait another half hour for the guy to show up again. Today was the topper, they deliver a salad without dressing after I asked for extra dressing. And the salad which advertises it's special mexican cheese comes with NONE. Par for the course.

Excellent chicken, great bar, great crowd

I usually just get appetizers here, but I tried the entrees and I was very impressed. Their chicken is amazing, the tacos were delicious and incomprable to other restaurants that serve tacos, and the soups they have are nice and spicy. Their staff is also very knowledgeable, they seem to know everything about tequila and made some great recommendations to our group. Our waiter was very nice and the service was great but not too speedy. We sat inside for the first time, and I think its a much better atmosphere outside, so try to sit there if you can and if you don't mind a people being a bit rowdy.

Really nice atmosphere for a date

I basically found the best place for a date on the Upper West Side. Although I’m generally not into Mexican food, the food here is awesome (especially the fajitas!). They have some very spicy sauce (for me…) and some mild sauce as well (for the ladies…), and they are very courteous here and will get you exactly what you ask for. The reason I say its perfect for first dates is that it’s a very sociable environment (a bit loud, but not too loud) that makes it really easy to have a conversation while drinking some margaritas (and the tequila, of course!) I really developed a love for this place, it’s very reasonably priced and the service is pretty quick (don’t expect it to be super fast, though). Gabriela’s right next to my pad so this is really the “go-to” place for me, and much better than the previous Gabriela’s location in terms of décor and food quality. I strongly recommend this place, but don’t steal my dating ideas, lol.

    Big disappointment

Went here for Sunday brunch - had walked by plenty of times and it seems like a great summer spot and often has a good crowd. Our waitress got my wife's order all wrong and food quality was disappointing. All this, and prices are no bargain. First and last time we eat at Gabriela's.

    A New Craving...

I went for the first time yesterday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I got the Chicken Empanada appetizer, the Crispy Shrimp Taco Entree (with refried beans and mexican rice) and the Tres Leches cake for dessert. WOW!!!!!!! I will be craving these items from now on...You MUST try the crispy shrimp tacos...heavenly! Wash it all down with a frozen margarita!

    Our Fave Mexican

We've been coming here for 5 years and absolutely love this place, especially Roberto who is the bartender. What we order on a regular basis: 1. Shrimp with stuffed cheese 2. Flautas 3. Chicken Suizas 4. Nachos de la casa. Enjoy!

Food/Service Down as Far as You Can Go

This restaurant started out great when it opened. Last 3 visits--only disappointment. I can make better Mexican food! The place is beautiful, but that's all. We were ignored, dismissed, amd there were not many diners at brunch. That was the last time!
