So I have been traveling to NYC for years for business. I recently as of seven months ago came in contact with gabby Oharas on thirty ninth st and i go back every time I am in town. The food is great and the service is excellent. Keep in mind everything is pretty much in the twenty dollar area when it comes to food but... It's a bar and I have never been disappointed by my meals. Best irish pub in NYC.

First of all this bar does not have a happy hour. What bar doesn’t have a happy hour? Anyway, these ‘I can charge $10 for a drink because I’m located in new York city even though im a pub’ price drinks were absolutely sub-par. I had calamari and mozzarella sticks. The calamari was over fried and the size of cheerios-awful! I felt like I was eating cereal dipped in marinara sauce – I mean understandably….its ‘bar food’ and im well aware I am not walking into a 4 star food establishment but I what I do expect is chewable food. Mozzarella sticks were ok but too few sticks for the $. Basically the food and drinks are way over priced for the ‘quality’ and quantity. Service was good. placed smelled strange. I will not be back to this establishment.

Our new favorite Irish bartender made us feel special during our many visits!

Bartenders are very attentive and generous with the pours. Shepards pie, bangers and mash and the burgers are the best things to get here. I literally book my hotels in NYC based on how close they are to Gabby's. Great place.

There is nothing special about this place. I went based on the reviews and was sorely disappointed. The food was nothing special, not worth the price, at least not what I ordered.

The onion rings are the best I have ever had. Its a low key laid back Irish pub. The prices are good for midtown.

stumbled upon this bar one day after work and have been converted ever since, food is good and reasonable but main reason to come is the atmosphere, bartenders are friendly waitresses cute, possibly one of the most laid back places ive been in always seems to be an interesting mix of business travellers local workers and tourists.... really good for an after work beer in an authentic irish bar thats unusual in time sq.
