Wonderful Experience
Fusha has been outstanding in this neighborhood since it's open several years ago. Not only the quality of the food is consistently delicious, but also the atmosphere and service are well touched. I especially like those stone deco behind sushi bar and those mahjong at the entrance. It is what makes it stand up among the other restaurants in this area. Every time we dine in, we will definitely order Guacamole app., it is perfect combination of avocado, spicy tuna, and the wasabi chips (it's not wasabi-type spicy). On top of that, they usually give you 10% discount if you spend more than $50. Its just a tax-free dinner for us.

worst restaurant esperience ever
I've gone to fusha on the Upper Westside many times, but hadn't been there for a few months. It's always had reasonable, good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Maybe because it's Halloween/Sunday night the employees didn't want to be there, but it was the worst restaurant experience of my life. I went with two friends. We all wanted something light and I liked their pad thai. Service had always been good. The restaurant was less than half full, but it took a while to get a waiter's attention. When we did, the waiter came over, was very nice, took our order, and returned with a glass of wine for a friend. The food came shortly after. Two of us had the pad thai. It tasted good, as always, but my dish only had three shrimp. I remember it always having more. I mentioned it to my friend. He said he had at least seven or eight, and offered me some of his. It wasn't important, and i declined. We figured the chef made the dishes together and divvied them out badly. He wanted to tell the waiter, but nobody came around. After I was finished, my friend finally caught the manager's eye. He came over, and my friend told him about the shrimp. The manager came back and told us that the chef had given us each four shrimp, the waiter had asked if everything was all right, and we told him that it was. My friend told him that he got a lot more than four shrimp. The manager said, "Then you should be happy and you're done now so there's nothing we can do." In truth, I didn't want them to cook up three little shrimp. If he had said, "I"m sorry, is there anything i can do" I would've said, "No, it's fine." That would have been it. But he was so confrontational and handled it badly.

Consistently Awesome
Love Fusha because the atmosphere is trendy and sexy, but won't break the bank. Apparently the same owners as Aja (across the street) and Amber in Murray Hill. Fish selection is always very fresh and well-presented (oysters, a la carte sushi and rolls are really good). Usually share a bunch of fish, some sushi apps, and either the yaki soba or stir fried veggies, which are both super delicious. Good sake selection and wines by the glass... not a very long list, but those that are offered are very good and well-priced. Always a great experience, and the bathrooms are clean and well-designed :) Outdoor seating outside, but it's really dark and a little crowded.
