    Surprised a non-sushi eater

Stopped by here as a pre-drinks eating spot before going out in the soup. I've never been a big sushi person, but the group made its decision. Fairly glad I did. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and delicious. Only real complaint I had was Fu seems to try to find a lot of creative ways to get cream cheese into your system. Glad I got pulled in, will probably be hitting it up again next time im in the area.

    this great newcomer deserves respect!

On a handful of blocks increasingly crowded with better and better food choices (mercadito, 26 seats), Fu Sushi is a noteworthy standout sushi newcomer. The menu is (literally) DIY simple its brevity emphasizes a wide array of consistently delicious and creative rolls (all the more cool in a sushi universe in which the phrase "creative rolls" is otherwise a bland and meaningless epithet). Excellent fried shrimp shumai is worth a try, and the "amuse bouche" of tartare on seasoned tortilla chips was a memorably-flavored intro to a wonderful meal of memorable sushi. A welcome turn for a neighborhood whose good-but-generic sushi was growing increasingly forgettable with each passing month. A worthy effort from its eponymous owner and gracious host, Fu sushi has been sadly empty its first few weeks. It deserves highest praise. Check it out.

    great sushi

Uniquely delicious! The sushi was very fresh and the appetizers were great. I love the Jayce and UFO rolls. The coconut drink is a must try too!

I have to agree, the fishes are very fresh. It's a small place, but it was pretty good. If you like avocado like I do, I recommend the Fuji, it has slices of avocado formed into a mountain with mixture of stuff inside. Fu's special ice cream and the coconut drink was delicious.

    yummu sushi

Food was delicious and not pricey. Everything was so fresh! There were also so many kind of special sushi to choose from. Their soft shelled crab tempura is definitely something you need have if you go there. Overall good service and good food. I will definitely go back again.
