Me and my girlfriend were looking for somewhere to eat for the 4th of July. Granted we wish we were with our families at a beach or pool. But stuck in Brooklyn, we wanted to get some good Italian food. We read the reviews for the restaurant and were sold. When we got there the food on other patrons tables looked good. We ordered a antipasto to start and it was decent. Then we ordered fettucini Alfredo and rigatoni w/ a bolognese sauce. They were the most bland bowls of pasta we have ever ate. We were more excited to finish the disgusting craft of Pinot Grigio and get home to relax then RE-MAKE our pasta with the much needed spices. Cool looking place when we first walked in, it reminded me of a old Italian restaurant I grew up going to...we will not be going back here...ever...Overpriced. Be honest with yourself!...

I have been going to frost since I was 11 years old. I swear I've had everything on the menu and the quality, and superb taste of the food has not changed since then, and I'm now 36. If you like marsala sauce, there is no beter than Frost. It has such a perfect buttery winey taste that I crave at least once a week, and the best part is if you don't want chicken or veal they do a shrimp marsala, which I haven't seen anywhere else. The veal and chicken rollatini is something all carnivores must try!! Red sauce is very good although sometimes a little too acidiy but hey its tomato sauce. If monkfish is on the specials menu get it oreganato its amazing. As for appetizers, baked clams and stuffed mushrooms are always spot on. As for scungilii I was always a little skeptical, but my father encouraged me to try Frost's and wow, they were so good, not tough or chewy they kind of melted in my mouth. If your craving old school Italian in a pleasant environment Frost is the way to go!! P.s they make a killer martini.

This is old school, red sauce Italian all the way, from the food to the decor to the service and it's totally worth a trip to Brooklyn. Everything is as you'd expect it to be and they are competent at everything on the menu but the standout is the Chicken Contadina. Lots of juicy chicken pieces (with bone is better) with tons of onions, mushrooms, sliced potatoes and red pepper which is not replicated anywhere else. This dish keeps me going back.

I have been going to Frost Restaurant since I was a child. I can Remember the pizza counter! I am 50 this year and the food is still the best. Service is always great (especially Armando). It feels like family.

My friend, Carol had mentioned to me of a Great Italian Restaurant, called The Frost Restaurant. She said it was the best place to go for great italian food. I grew up in Canarsie and always was surrounded by good italian restaurants. In 1978, I went to the Frost Restaurant with her, and oh my goodness, it was so so wonderful. The food was absolutely so delicious. We ordered a delicious seafood dish and she had a dish with marsala wine. The baked clams were the best I've ever ordered. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was comfortable. It may not have been a brand new type restaurant atmosphere, but that's fine. The food is the most important part of dinner, not the decor. It is a fantastic place to dine out for great italian food. I recommend this place to those who want the best italian food. Try this place and you will be hooked and will post a review of how great this place is to you. Enjoy!!!!! Have a great time!!!!!!! You''ll love this place.
