Simply the Best
I have been going to frost for over four decades. I will break it down to you. go in order a dozen baked clams some fried calamari to start then try a seafood fri diabolo with a side of linguine.order a bottle of red. And a tiramisu with a double expresso for desert. Don't forget the sambucca.. Enjoy !

Eat the chicken contadina
This is old school, red sauce Italian all the way, from the food to the decor to the service and it's totally worth a trip to Brooklyn. Everything is as you'd expect it to be and they are competent at everything on the menu but the standout is the Chicken Contadina. Lots of juicy chicken pieces (with bone is better) with tons of onions, mushrooms, sliced potatoes and red pepper which is not replicated anywhere else. This dish keeps me going back.

Best Italian Food
I have been going to Frost Restaurant since I was a child. I can Remember the pizza counter! I am 50 this year and the food is still the best. Service is always great (especially Armando). It feels like family.

#1 Italian Restaurant
My friend, Carol had mentioned to me of a Great Italian Restaurant, called The Frost Restaurant. She said it was the best place to go for great italian food. I grew up in Canarsie and always was surrounded by good italian restaurants. In 1978, I went to the Frost Restaurant with her, and oh my goodness, it was so so wonderful. The food was absolutely so delicious. We ordered a delicious seafood dish and she had a dish with marsala wine. The baked clams were the best I've ever ordered. The service was wonderful. The atmosphere was comfortable. It may not have been a brand new type restaurant atmosphere, but that's fine. The food is the most important part of dinner, not the decor. It is a fantastic place to dine out for great italian food. I recommend this place to those who want the best italian food. Try this place and you will be hooked and will post a review of how great this place is to you. Enjoy!!!!! Have a great time!!!!!!! You''ll love this place.

Best Italian Food Ever
I have been going to Frost for over 25 years and it is the best. My favorite is the chicken marsala it is the best. The garlic bread is excellent. My husband has had veal, chicken, fish and he loves it. Everyone that I have recommended Frost to loves it.

Sorry, is this a joke?
I was excited to go to Frost after reading all these reviews. What I got was a huge bowl of extremely overcooked pasta with very good, but very plain sauce. Also the restaurant felt kind of dark and depressing. Sorry, I am not usually so hard on a place but 5 stars, this was absolutely not.

Is it still as good as ever
I went last summer. This is a place my family used to go back in the 70s. We would always get clams, seafood platter with hot sauce (on biscuits) and a pasta. So, my family and I ordred the old standards. Baked clams were excellent and the seafood salad was outstanding and big enough to share the table (it's 20 bucks) The best was the seafood platter: shrimp, mussels, calamari and scungilli in a hot marinara served over olive oil fried biscuits...just like I remembered. Not only authentic, but delicious. I ordered a second round of scungilli and we ate every drop. A great oasis in a neighborhood of new and hip.
