I went here last week and it was pretty good. The food was absoulutely the best, the calmari, and chips are so good. I had the Gourmet Ravioli. It was divine. I have a lot of complaints about the service:( The waiters can be very grumpy or impatient. I can't even understand what they are saying either. They have very poor service. But the hosts are very welcoming and nice though. The bar is very small and little. The place is very big but there is no windows. Thats very bad that theirs no windows. The price is overly high. I think its not that worth it for that much money to pay and very poor service and high prices. I have been to a lot of other better resturants that have better service and better prices. Overall I would recommend it 65%. I think others will go to different resturants because a lot of other resturants are better.

I've been to Fresco several times and I can't understand the positve press and reviews. There are so many wonderful Italian restaurants in the city at which you can surely find food at least as good or better in this price range. Don't get me wrong, the food is mostly very good, but it's not anywhere near the top of the list. The prices are in the upper range for Italian food, and for these prices the service should be much better. The waiters and waitresses have poor attitudes which made our last dinner there a chore. We felt like we were bothering them when we asked for anything. Not an enjoyable night. And I hate giving money to people who act like they're doing me a favor accepting it.

Our family of five dined here on an early Sat evening (6:30) after a matinee at the theater. We found the atmsphere pleasant, although bit too well lit for our taste. The hostess was welcoming, our table ready and in the rear (main) dining room. There were several other families there, although it was not overly noisy despite appearing almost at capacity. Our waiter was pleasant, knowledgable about the menu, less so about wine. We shared one appetizer of potato and zucchini chips with gorgonzola cheese which were crisp, tasty and plentiful for our family of 5. We had three salads, then four of us ordered pasta dishes which were all excellent and portions large enough for all of us to take home left overs. My husband had the veal chop which was slightly over done (medium, not medium rare) but he did not want to return it. We had one bottle of wine, several sodas and a mild. We shared three desserts, all of which were delicious and fresh. With coffee and cappacino, it cam to $390 including tax, wine before tip. It was pricey, but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening!

I went here on Veterans day and it was VERY GOOD. But the waiters, I could not understand. The food was excellent.I had the Gourment Ravioli. It was to very good. The calamari was excellent. They give you too many big courses before you go for your dinner. But overall I liked it 93%.

In a few words... Pros: Good but not great food. Cons: Cramped tables, they're doing you a favor service, small drinks, way over priced for what you get. Conclusion: I'm surprised the place has lasted this long. Skip it!

First things first. The food is absolutely fantastic. BUT.....the waiters were extremely grumpy. They all looked like their pay was just cut in half. Also, my party and I were dressed appropriately for the venue but the hostess insisted on looking us up and down. She also made it painfully obvious that she was not happy we didn't check our pocketbooks. Who knows why. The only one who was very nice and actually smiled (no one else did) was the sommelier. She was actually very nice. The Scotto's look like happy, kind people. It is curious to me why they do not expect that from their employees. I would like to eat their food again but I will most likely take it out because sitting in the restaurant was just a big downer.
