Sandwich in a bowl? A bowl, really?

They list the sausage sandwich as follows; Grilled sausage, roasted peppers and carmelized onions on a hero. What they don't tell you is that once you order this gem they're going to stuff a roll into a small bowl, then jam the sausage and peppers into that roll and finally pour extra sauce/oil/juice onto the sandwich which ultimately ends up pooling at the bottom of the bowl turning the bread into a soggy mess. For the grand finale of this masterpiece they put this whole sausage and peppers stew package in the microwave because that’s how all great sandwiches are served, in a bowl out of a microwave. When you get around to eating this piece of culinary art the bread instantly disintegrates and you end up with a lap full of sausage, peppers and soggy bread. Thank you Fresco for showing me the “right way” to eat a sausage and peppers sandwich!!

    Great food, no fuss

For the best meatball hero in NY try this unprentenious midtown staple. It has the pricing of a neighborhood deli with the quality of a good restaurant. A great place for a quick business lunch if value and time are of the essence. My clients love to come here with me.

    Disappointed & still starving!!

Ordered lunch from here for my office, out of 20 orders only one was worthy of being called decent! Do not order the salads. Disappointing dressings, stiff cheese, unappetizing croutons (still trying to figure how you can mess that up),they slap on huge chunks of meat in the most unappitizing manner AND they dont take any comments, requests, etc... I've ordered once from Fresco by Scotto and since that was amazing I thought I'd try this place- unfortunately nothing like it. Do yourself a favor and - SKIP!

    Truly unsatisfactory

I'm not sure what they're thinking over at Fresco, but they are certainly not worried about quality. I ordered four items for lunch delivery today. One of them was an entirely wrong order. The two rollups came in plastic containers that were filthy, like they'd been used before, and came with no accompaniments whatsover (bag of chips maybe for rollups that cost $9 and $12?). The chicken caesar salad was nothing more than dry chicken on a bed of lettuce and parmesan cheese. There seems to be no concern for quality of food presentation, cleanliness or detail. Prices are too expensive for this type of service. Y

    Good Midtown Lunch

Work nearby and sometimes I go cause it's convenient but the food is always very good. Service is usually very good to great. It gets crowded around 12:30 but get there before or at 1pm and there are no waits. Great selections: make your own salad, pastas, specials of the day, sandwiches (hot and cold) pizzas, the list goes on and on. Their drinks are not cold so ask for ice but other than that no complaints. Worth the price and there are sure to be leftovers.

    Are they serious?

Ordered the Grilled Chicken Over Penne Pasta for delivery. Tasted like it was made in a middle school cafeteria - the pasta was about as mushy as pasta can be and the chicken was dry on the inside. For $15 they have to be kidding me. Don't know how this place still exists in nyc, but i know i won't be calling back ever again...

    Getting worse

I've been going to Fresco on the Go in Midtown for years and after a few months hiatus went back today. Not worth it. Ordered a chichen milanese panini which was not good...chicken as dry and had absolutely no taste--like particleboard. Other food I have had recently has been better, but the overall quality has gone down and I don't understand it since the are so busy the food should be fresh and good but often taste wierd.
