FreeFoods NYC

I called today for delivery and the man who answered the phone was absolutely lovely, giving me many helpful suggestions. I ended up ordering the Winter 7 grain Sandwich which was stuffed with marinated mushrooms and red peppers. I wished there had been more sprouts and avocado though. The gentleman also recommended the mango fruit salad which I enjoyed although i thought it could have done without the light syrup on top. The mangos were sweet enough for me! This is also one of the only midtown establishments with GT's Kombucha Tea which I am completely addicted to! I got the ginger one. The food was clean and beautiful. I will definitely be ordering from FreeFoods again!

My friend and I stopped by thinking it was going to be healthy food. While there are healthy options on the menu, most of the menu is full of cheeses, pancetta, bacon, white breads, yogurts, etc. Foods that contains lots of saturated fats, sodium, and are totally devoid of fiber.

I heard about this place a few weeks ago from a friend and passed it today at lunch so went in. The macadamia hummus sandwich was amazing, maybe the best sandwich I've ever had. The place was really clean, so clean I didn't mind that my bill was $15 for only an organic cola and sandwich!!! I don't feel like most lunch places in the city are very clean at all or even make an effort to try but I was raelly impressed here. I didn't buy the lobster soup that I sampled but it will be what I get when I go there with friends nex time I eat lunch out. I thought the compostable packaging was a nice touch too, I like that someone cares about the environment and doesn't use plastic when there are alternatives out there (which i wasn't really aware of until today). Maybe others should be doing this too (hint)

Great organic food! Definitely would recommend to anyone who cares about what they eat.
