My girlfriend and I went here for a quick-chilled Friday night dinner. The glass of wine is a friendly poor and the service was quick and pleasant. Pizza was good and I can't wait to go back and try the pasta.

Third time here for dinner. First time yielded good food, lousy service but we decided to give it another try since the food was good. As a restaurant owner myself I thought FLB deserved a second chance, there's always that one 'bad night'. We went back and service was better, not great but better. Well for FLB the third time was NOT a charm. We had poor service, in fact our server not only rolled his eyes when I ordered my pasta dish without cheese but he also brought my cousin the wrong soup- which by the way both soups though labeled vegetarian are NOT vegetarian since one has bacon in it and last I recall, though I am a vegan, bacon is not a plant- based food-and when my cousin's dinner was served (risotto) it was served on a chipped plate. He sent it back for a remake as he didnt want to consume dinnerware. Our server was basically unattentitve, we had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled. My husband looked at me said, never again this was FLB's last chance.

Service not good. Rude waiter Wednesday night and he questioned the tip I gave him. Did not want to insult him but he embarrassed me in front of my family. High prices, for very average food. Mud for coffee. Watery ice tea. Thought I was taking my two job-hunting relatives for a nice dinner--which I could not afford myself, but wanted to give them a treat. this was a expensive trick, no treat. Then...to have the waiter embarrass me. Wow. Kids running around at 8 PM. Annoying music. Busboy taking the silverware and then waiter delivering the coffee 15 minutes after ordered--so no spoon to stir with--why bother asking for a spoon if the service shown to be inferior? Waiter tells me he's busy. Oh really? You guys cannot fool the folks in NYC, especially UWS folks.Going to Patsy's next time.

As a true Italian (not Italian-American), I can say that this pizza is on par with the best pizza you would get anywhere in Naples. If you are looking for an American pizza, do not come here because you will be disappointed. The pizza makers are here on workers visas from Naples, and they are rotated out every 3 months. All ingredients arrive fresh from Italy on Saturday mornings. This place essentially brings Naples to the UWS. I have never tried the pasta dishes so I cannot speak to those, but the pizza here is unmatched in this country. Additionally the ricotta and mozzarella--which come from Italy--are exquisite. We always receive amazing service, which includes free appetizers and limoncello. If you appreciate true Italian food, do not pass this place up!

this place is just way too expensive for what it is. the food isn't bad - but then you get the bill and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. just one of those small glass bottles of soda costs $4! personal pizzas average around $20. it's just too much money for what it is.

a problem with being italian and not italian-american is to know what real italian food is and how rare it is to fiind in new york. if you don't like the food here and are going t italy, bring a lunch bag - you won;t like the food there either. however, if you do like italian food and are a west sider, this place is a wonder. no more schlepping to the east side and via emilia, or sclepping to the village and 28 carmine, whe have what we need here. se ti piacce pizza italiania, mangia qui.

I'm not exactly sure what all the bad buzz is about. When I went on a crowded Friday night we had excellent service and the gnocchi was better than any that I had in Italy. I would definitely go back
