Fratelli Brick Oven Pizza

One of our favorites in the neighborhood. The owners are great (john and mark), the pizza is outstanding, and we've yet to have a bad meal after 5 or 6 times there.

This addition to the neighborhood has fabulous italian food. The Mezze Rigatoni is fabulous. Don't go for the atmosphere (noisy) but the food and the service are reason enough to try this place. I believe it is owned by the same people who one the diner next door (Cafe Luka).

Decent overall food and service however, it is pricey for what you actually get. Can be a crowded and very noisy at times making it hard to have any conversation. Tables are packed too close together.

Fratelli is better than at least 2 of the other upper east side brick oven pizza place I have been to. I was actually impressed with the quality. Very thin crust pizzas, really good flavor, bolognese was awesome, and even the grilled calamari salad was great. Not pretentiuos, but a fun place to go w/ friends or family. Great wine and beer selection on the menu. I will be going back to Fratelli on a regular basis!!

john and mark are fabulous owners and great managers but wish in a place that serves pizza as one of its focal points they would also offer some more down to earth (all-be-it) more commonly popular italian dishes . nothing wrong with a good chicken or veal parm or scaloppini dishes or ever popular caesar salad..Delisia does it just just o.k but you guys would use top ingredients and do it better and so what if you offer some always popular dishes too?good is good -and less pretentious offering would bring my friends and i over at least 3 or 4 times a month to savor all.

I have been to this place to eat three times and I love it. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The gnocchi was my favorite dish so far...very light. The pizza is thin and crispy you can tell these guys are using the best stuff. The owners Mark and John really know how to treat a customer and seem to be there every time I stop in. Give it a try.
