Fratelli Brick Oven Pizza

Just moved to the area and decided to check out the local restaurants. Walked by Fratelli and saw someone in the window eating a pizza, so I walked in the door. We were immediately greeted and sat down. Ordered a pizza and sat there and ate the whole thing. It was so good that I had to take one to go for later. Will definitely go back to try all of the other menu items that sounded so good. The service was just amazing, entire staff was very attentive, but not bothersome. Took home a menu and saw they have delivery, which is very convenient. My wife and I really enjoyed our experience at Fratelli. Will definitely come back and tell all of my friends about it.

went to Fratelli for lunch, was seated near the window which meant over the cellar door which was being slammed the whole time. free snacks included okay flatbread with greasy tapenade. waiter was attentive and friendly but my "insalata pizza" was absolutely nothing. flimsy bread that everything fell off of and the most nondescript, unremarkable meal i've ever had. plus a glass of pinot grigio that tasted like chardonnay.

This is a very nice restaurant that my family and friends usually enjoy. The service is excellent, the food is a little pricey but always very good. Our only issue with this establishment is the manner in which the employees are treated by the management. On more than one occasion we have heard the owners belittle the wait persons and actually use fulgarity in reference to them. This greatly disturbs my wife who says she doesn't want to return after the last meal we had there. Too bad as I personally enjoy the food and the wait persons who have always be so attentive.

My daughter has treatments at two hospitals in NYC every 6 months. We walked into Fratelli and Cafe Luka, and it was absolutely awesome. They treat you like family. And as for our daughter, they let her make her own pizza and dessert. To take the time out of their busy day to make this special for her, touched us very deeply. Not only was the dinner (eggplant lasagna) and veal dish amazing, but the service and cleanliness was above all the rest! We will be back every time we visit. Oh.....and the appetizer included with dinner.........the red sauce should be bottled and in my pantry!!!

We drove in 7 hours to take our 11 year old daughter to 2 hospitals. We need to come to NYC every 6 months. We walked into Fratelli and we felt "at home". The owners came over to us, and after realizing why we were in town, they treated Morgan like she was their own. They took her in the back of the restaurant where she made her own pizza and dessert! She was so excited and it made her feel special. Our dinner was absolutely the best food we have had in NYC, from the Appetizers to dessert. The waiters were so attentive, and the service itself was warm and friendly. The atmosphere topped it off. I highly suggest you come in to Fratelli. You will have a wonderful meal, and you will feel like you are the only ones there! It will be our place to dine every time we are here!

I have lived a block away from this restaurant for two years and never tried it, always thinking I needed to get away from the neighborhood to find a good restaurant. I went tonight - and was I surprised! The pizzas are delicious - thin crispy crust (my favorite!) with intense flavors. I'm usually not much of a pizza person, but this was really quite good. Service was outstanding, everyone from the hostess, to the busboy, to our waiter, were extremely nice and helpful. And the complimentary chocolate chip biscotti at the end is divine! I will definitely be back and try more from their menu. And my husband, the ultimate food critic, agreed.

The food is very high quality and beautifully prepared and tastes terrific. We would eat here everyday if we could manage it -- there are no "lunch specials" nor inexpensive dishes. The Focaccia strips and rich tomato-red pepper dipping sauce served before each meal is delicious. The salads are especially good -- finely chopped greens and thin slices of lean meat. With the check, a biscotti for each guest is presented.
