I must say that this place is more about eating in than taking out. If you order, you don't get the full Frank's experience. The deliveries I've gotten have been fast and efficient, and the food is consistently delicious, but part of the appeal is in the couple that own and run the place. So many eateries in this city have a cold and impersonal feel when it comes to service that we as New Yorkers have become accustomed to it. My solution: go to Frank's. The service is outstanding. This is not a place that takes its customers for granted based solely on food (although they could). As I said, if you eat in, you really get to experience the homey feel that Frank's has. This does not include the front pizzeria; I am referring to the back dining room, although the service in the front is terrific as well. All the dishes I've tried have been delicious. It's the same menu as many other Italian restaurants, but you'll find that the prices are more reasonable while the freshness and tastiness of the food isn't compromised.

I'm so drawn to this place for the amazing pizza and the amazing pizza ALONE. Everything else is really poor, especially their delivery service. I ordered a full regular pie, they sent me four slices of pizza in a box. Two days later I made the same order and instead of one full pizza, they sent FOUR FULL PIZZAS. I tried again one last time, and ordered some orange soda with my pizza. They got the pizza right, but I got coffee instead of soda.

You walk through the pizzeria into the back room, and even if you stagger in on a rainy Christmas Eve, the owner smiles and says, "I have a nice table for you". This is one of those little local gems, where real New Yorkers go. Eggplant Parmagiana comes in a bubbling casserole, just like the old days. On the side, we always get pasta with garlic and oil. And oh, what garlic and oil it is! Fettucine Alla Nonna is subtle, fabulous and comforting at the same time - no mean feat. Sangria is most welcome. There's no place like it anywhere. Well, actually there is one other - it's in Spain somewhere. Do not miss this place!

We get delivery from Frank's frequently and also eat in from time to time. Pizza is very good (ask for the thin crust if that's your preference). Caesar salad is garlicky and terrific. Other dishes we love: Chicken parm, Clams Possilipo (whole in shell), Mussells in Red Sauce, broccoli rabe with garlic, Penne Vodka. Delivery can be a bit slow during peak dinner hours, but the food is fresh and hot when it arrives.

I've lived in the area for 4 years and i order from here at least once a week. The food is just amazing and the prices are incredible. I've never been dissapointed. Hot antipasto is crazy as well as their chicken parm & Margharita Pizza. The only thing i don't recommend are their salads. Their dressings can be kind of bland. Aside from that you can't go wrong.

Ordered a Ceasar salad and a Veal Parmagiana. Very fresh tasting. The side pasta was not very good. It tasted watered down like it would if you had ordered from any nyc diner. Fast delivery, fairly priced, though not cheap.

I grew up a few blocks away from Franks and every sunday my family went there. My brother & father would always get the chicken parmigiana, my mother got a lobster, my grandmother chicken piccata, and I would get the mussels. Years later I am lucky enough to still live in the delivery zone! My boyfriend and I order in Franks all the time. He's a big fan of the hot antipasto- with the baked clams, huge butterflied shrimp, mussels, stuffed mushrooms and eggplant parmigiana, you can't go wrong.
