Great Food and Service
Not sure what the last two people are talking about. I came upon this place and was very happy and impressed. In a town laden with poor quality and over priced restaurants, Frankie's is a gem. The food is fresh and made with good quality ingredients. They make their own pasta for goodness sake! The antipasti plate was a really nice sampling of cheese, meat and veggies. Our server was knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. I really think anyone who enjoys good quality food would enjoy this place. It's not cheesy italian it's homestyle italian so if you're looking for chicken Parmesan keep looking if you like good fresh pasta and fresh crunchy salads this is the place for you. I especially enjoyed the fFennel salad. and for the wackjob who said the chairs are uncomfortable i don't know what they are talking about. they were just regular chairs. they even had seat cushions. Some people should seriously keep it to themselves...

not the best italian
i thought it was pretty average, not bad, but not worth the hype, service was fine.. food ranges from not very good to very tasty, stay away from the chefs antipasti.

Completely Average
In a word...eh. I went with high hopes for a relaxing lunch. Tables are too close together and the chairs are better suited to a garden and 100 percent uncomfortable. I ordered a panini and while the bread was really good, the tomato (one half a mozz and tomato sandwich) was so anemic, I was actually embarassed for Frankie's and their willingness to serve them. The place is cute but not worth the prices or the discomfort.

A Hidden Gem
My boyfriend and I stumbled across Frankie's 17 after an afternoon of shopping and it couldn't have been the more perfect way to unwind after hours on our feet - it's been love ever since. Frankie's is quaint, intimate and cozy with a delicious menu of fresh, tasty Italian cuisine. We've been several times now and though the no-reservation policy can lead to impatient waiting, you just have to be wise and arrive by 7:30 or after 9:30 which is not such a compromise in my opinon. The wine selection is fantastic and the staff is down to earth, normal and I guess for lack of a better word - cool. If you couldn't tell - I highly recommend it!

Cute, yummy
I like the food here quite a lot, especially the cavatelli with sausage, the veggie side dishes and the amazing creme brulee. I've always found the service to be friendly, mellow and not over-bearing or pretentious in any way. I have to agree with others that because Frankie's is so small waiting for a table can be torture-length long, especially if people linger over their last glass of wine/check for a long time.

So cute..
First of all let me just say I love Frankies. It is small, and it gets crowded, but it’s totally worth it. Our host told us we would get seated in 45 minutes but our table was ready in only 20, good thing since I was incredibly hungry. I ate the pork braciola – as recommended by our waiter. Delicious! I was surprised at how fast the food came given that their kitchen is tiny, but I guess they’re used to it. My boyfriend loved it and so did I; I am definitely going back there soon.

Too Little and Too Long
I wanted so badly to like Frankies 17. It's a cute place and the wine was delicious. The wine was the only thing we got to enjoy while we waited an 1h, 45m for a table. Granted the place is small, however the host said the wait would be an hour. When it was almost double, they did nothing to make our stay more comfortable (perhaps offering to comp a dish of olives or a glass of wine). They also didn't do anything to move the people who'd already paid the bill and had been lingering for a good 25 minutes to move on. Finally, when we did sit down, our waiter was not friendly. No apology for the wait or "let me get your order right away" -- all we got was "we're out of the gnoochi." The gnoochi that I had waited almost 2 hours for (p.s. there are only about 5 items on the menu so to run out of one...) Finally, Frankie's 17 was too much money, too little food, too long of a wait and totally not worth any of it.
