    Good local Italian

Crostini's are great, try the mushroom, avocado & pesto and the ricotta ones. I also recently ordered the cavatelli with brown butter and hot sausage and it was surprisingly good! The blt at lunch is killer and i like the meatball parm sandwich. Great delivery sometimes the red sauce is a little salty.

    High expectations, complete crash

The food is simply disappointing. These guys have absolutely no clue in Italian cuisine. The only good thing was the cheese. And the beer. And the wine. In short -- anything that they didn't cook. Oh yeah, the avocado pesto crostini are excellent, given that it's extremely hard to spoil a piece of avocado on a toasted bread.

    simple, excellent

Everything about Frankie's was excellent. Simple, unpretentious, delicious Italian food at extremely reasonable prices. Casual yet attentive service. It's not going to blow your mind, but the food is great and the setting is pleasant.

    Just Fine For Two

Stumbled in here while looking for a place to eat in the LES. The crostini were excellent, as was my pasta dish (the cavatelli). Had just the right amount of spice and flavor. My wife's sandwich looked good, but it was gone before I could try it. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for two, or four, but no larger than that. It's a small place.

    Pleasant dining experience

Wandered in after 9:30 and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Try the Roasted Vegetable salad.

    Huge Disappointment

My friends and I were excited to check out Frankie's after hearing so much about it. But some of pasta dishes were cold and tasteless. The original space is cozy but the new room extension (where we were sat) has zero ambience. Also, our hostess was unnecessarily snarky. We're not in a hurry to go back, for sure.

    Great Date Night

Dined here last week and it was a wonderful experience with impeccable value. I didn't like that my seat was by the door, that was a little annoying, but I would totally return. delicious!
