Just Fine For Two
Stumbled in here while looking for a place to eat in the LES. The crostini were excellent, as was my pasta dish (the cavatelli). Had just the right amount of spice and flavor. My wife's sandwich looked good, but it was gone before I could try it. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for two, or four, but no larger than that. It's a small place.

Pleasant dining experience
Wandered in after 9:30 and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Try the Roasted Vegetable salad.

Huge Disappointment
My friends and I were excited to check out Frankie's after hearing so much about it. But some of pasta dishes were cold and tasteless. The original space is cozy but the new room extension (where we were sat) has zero ambience. Also, our hostess was unnecessarily snarky. We're not in a hurry to go back, for sure.

Great Date Night
Dined here last week and it was a wonderful experience with impeccable value. I didn't like that my seat was by the door, that was a little annoying, but I would totally return. delicious!

Good Food
Went to Frankie's last weekend for dinner with friends. We had to wait about an hour for a table but great boutiques on Clinton passed the time just fine. Beet salad was delicious and the crostinis too - try the mushroom with truffle oil. All the pasta dishes were very good especially the squash/yam ravioli. Good selection of wines by the glass although we ordered a bottle. Hip, friendly wait staff, and good music too! Great date place or good for small/intimate gatherings. Frankie's does the basics very well and is very affordable. We will be sure to come back soon.

Really Good Food
I've only been there during the day, but the food is amazing. All highest quality ingredients, everything on the menu is great. Best french toast I've ever had. all else is amazing, too. Come for the food, and you get some atmosphere too.

Cozy, small
True, this is a sliver of a place, but dark, cozy and well-designed inside. Unfortunately it is really small and cramped with tiny tables. Luckily, we had the window table and could place the carafe of wine on the window ledge while we ate. House red (500ml) was spirited and only $12. The butternut squash soup was satisfying. The Pork Braciola Marinara was little too tomato-ey for me, but my companion loved it. She had the Sweet Sausage, Roasted Red Peppers And Onions Over Pine Nut Polenta which I preferred. I would come back, but would be mindful of a line-up. Fortunately we went during Superbowl so we just walked in. Did I say the place was small?
