    Great foor and service

We went for winter restaurant week 2009 and what a nice experience. We ordered from the retaurant week menu and the la carte. Just know that just like every other good steak house in NYC the menu is la carte. so you order the steak and sides are extra....expect it but it is worth it. I had the braised beef ribs in a port wine reduction with onion straws...she had the petit filet with a baked potato. All the food was beyond expectations and the staff was very attentive. I reccomend this place to everyone looking for a classy steak dinner. just expect to spend some money but it is worthe very penny. highly reccomeneded.

    great food, great service

We went for restaurant week dinner and were very impressed. The filets were delicious, and we ordered sides a la carte. We had a scheduled their complimentary limo service for our show after dinner and the staff made every effort to give us a great meal and also get us out on time. Great value overall. We will come again.

    Restaurant Week Disappointment

We had never eaten at this steakhouse before and decided to try it out over Restaurant week. We I have to say for the total of a $100 that we spent, I am hugely disappointed. The ambience really wasn't what you would expenct when you go to such an acclaimed steakhouse. The patrons were loud and you could barely see your food because the lighting was so dim. They should have at least provided a candle at the table so that we could see what their chefs worked so hard for! We had to first request bread because it wasn't served to go along with our appetizers. Who eats Filet Mignon Tartare without at least a cracker? Our main course arrives without as much as a side to accompany it. My husband had a petit filet which he said was an alright cut but it arrived on a bare plate with a mushroom cap. I received the braised short ribs in a very mild wine sauce. That was all there was on my plate. The same when with desert. Overall the food wasn't horrible but I will say I definitely won't be returning either. If you are planning on visiting this restaurant for Restaurant Week, please note that you will be spending money to get a kid's size portion and not the same amount of taste and service you would receive at another establishment.

    Best Lunch in NYC

The $30 price tag on lunch was a bit steep for me....but it was well worth it! The salad to start was great and the second course of filet mignon, mashed potatoes and veggies was exceptional! The steak melted in my mouth! I would go back again anytime! **Great for a business lunch if you are trying to impress someone!

had better steaks for the price

took a friend there for her b-day...although she loved her steak...mine was average...i did like the crispy textrure of the outside, but the flavor was lacking. it was ah-- just an okay meal. for the value, i'd go to Houstons for the steak

    Great Steaks sans the attitude

Had dinner here a couple of times and keep going back..Where do I begin crab cakes(delicious)Steaks I always order medium rare and it is always cooked to perfection ,seasoned just right and aged to perfection, great wine list and the best tiramisu..What a treat one night when 3 NFL players were having dinner at table next to us.My guests are always pleased with dinner there and everyone is treated like royalty..By far one of the top steakhouses in new york city without the attitude as some of the other big names..Also tried their place in westchester in Rye New York and I have to say WOW...
