    Best lobster value in NYC

Shared 6lb lobsters on two seperate dates and was not disapointed. Very few places allow you to pick from such large sized lobsters and the prices are the best I have seen.

This is the Place to be!

If your a lobster lover you have to come to Francisco Centro Vasco, this place is known for there delicous lobsters , but you have to try ther shrimp cocktails, there are so good, and there piaya is great. If your in N.Y.C this is a place to go, Like all good places, there is a wait, it is worth the wait. This place should be a franchise. Enjoy this wonderful place to eat. This place is a treat to New York City.

    disappointed

How does a place with a reputation for lobster "run out" of lobster meat early on a Sunday nite? Ajillo and green sauces are flavorless and watery.... One large lobster tail delicious, but should have been for $37 ...

    High Rating overall

I 've been to Centro Vasco more than I can count and the food is great! Definitely know for it's Lobster ! You want excellent lobster this is the place to go. Also, you have to order a side plate of their Spanish style chips- so good! The traditional spanish food is good as well. However, I have been to other Spanish restaurants in the NYC area and some have better traditional Spanish food but, the service would leave plenty to desire. The service at Centro is good in general. The best time to go is during the week. Weekends can be crowded and the service can be weak at that time. Since, they are catering to a high volume of people. Overall, I find the place has good food and a friendly atmosphere. Lobster all the way! /thumbs up

    Better Spaniard Food Elsewhere

Had a very forgettable evening in this place. Staff is nonexistent if the party is less than four. Our order took entirely too long since it was mid week, and the staff was uncaring and spacy. Do yourself a favor and pass this one up. For the prices, the wait and the poor service I give this a large thumbs down. Just not worth it.

Where Has This Place Been All My Life?

I read the reviews about the service and, frankly, I am stumped. The wait staff was quite large and friendly. This wonderful restaurant is on two floors so that may add a bit to the wait time but our excellent food was served promptly. I also read about how some felt it was LOBSTERS ONLY. Yes, lobsters are the norm (there is one that was $186!) but there are so many delicious non-lobster entrees on the menu, that anybody can fall in love with this place. The seafood is fantastic and the aroma alone makes you hungry. I can heartily endorse this place and promise you, I will be going back again soon . . . maybe even for lobster this time.
