Bus problems prompted me to try this restaurant in the Port Authority yes I said Port Authority. The place has an unfinished quality to it and as I found out during my meal they are still under renovation. I found the menu to be very welcoming. There is certainly something for everyone on it. I started w the chopped salad and was happy I did, a great combo of flavors and textures. I dont usually order salmon but I had to try this one, it was paired with pequillo peppers stuffed with faro and brie and an aji amarillo cream sauce. As good as I hoped it would be. Still had time before my bus was to leave so I tried something for dessert, all I will say is try the campfire sundae its a twist on a classic and it works. This restaurant is absolutely the only other reason to go to the port authority other than to catch a bus but do yourself a favor and enter at 9Ave to avoid the unsavory element on 8Ave. Kudos to Frames Bistro

Some friends of mine were bowling recently at Leisure Time Bowl, and my boyfriend and I were going to meet up with them. When we arrived, they were still in the middle of their game, and we were hungry, so we decided to sit at the new bistro they just opened, separate from the lanes. I canNOT believe how terrific the food was! Modest prices, so many varieties on American cuisine - definitely much more sophisticated than I expected. I got the blue corn grilled chicken nachos (there are slices of mango!), black sea bass, and the blondie for dessert! My boyfriend went with the Frames burger - he has to try the burger everywhere he goes, and he loved it. Our server was wonderful and well-informed; try this place before it's packed all the time! We'll definitely be back!
