Delicious and Reasonably Priced with Warm Atmosphere

My husband and I had a delightful dining experience here a couple weeks ago, so I'm surprised to see the recent negative reviews. We ordered the specials (pasta dishes, not pizzas) and were very pleased with the food. The dishes at the adjacent tables also looked very good. My homemade ravioli was delicious, and my husband was very happy with his seafood dish. He said everything was very fresh tasting. We weren't disappointed with the portion sizes. The atmosphere is warm and somewhere between casual and formal. Service was attentive. We're looking forward to going back.

    Whoa, what happened?

When this place opened a few years back it kicked up the competition on 5th ave a few notches. The food was very good, reasonably priced for a better than most dining experience. Decor not to my taste but I was there to eat. Now, the pizza was stuff on a a big cracker. Entree took forever to come (we were hungry) and so-so when it came. Big dishes, small portions and not what it used to be.

    Disappointing cold burnt pizza

I ordered the Classic Margerita Pizza for my kids for delivery. It was delivered within 30 mins but was ice cold and half the pizza was burnt. The cheese is melted to the base and there are pools of red sauce randomly placed on top plus a "tree" of basil leaves. As well as being burnt it was too fancy for my kids. Will never order from Forino again and recommend you don't too.

    Really Sad To Say

What used to be one of the best pizzas on 5th Ave has deteriorated. Ordered for delivery the other night. The pie was stuck to the top of the box as if a game of soccer had been played with it. The crust was thinner than a Ritz cracker and less tasty. The cheese tasted off. And there was some leafy stuff on top, can't tell what it was. Plus, ICE COLD. Complained and had another one delivered and it, too was a joke. Their $9 salad was $1 in greens, $.50 in dressing. DO NOT ORDER. They should just shut the doors and call it a day over there.

    Unappetizing carbonara

Pasta arrived without egg and cheese. Look like spaghetti with garlic and oil. Returned pasta. Second try had same plate with well done fried egg on top and parsley. Dish was inedible.

Great service, good atmosphere, completely average food.

My husband and I ate here recently. The restaurant is really pretty, and the staff members were very nice, so we had high hopes for the food. We were sadly very disappointed! We each had an appetizer and an entree and a glass of wine, and everything was absolutely 100% average. It was just OK, and because of this, way overpriced. We won't be going back again.

Why is this place full of people on a Friday night?

Went with my partner for a meal... There are several wonderful Italian resstaurnats in Park Slope-- Al Di LA, Convivium Osteria, to name a few with comparable prices... Bland, American interpretation of Italian food... A tomato salad (it is still summer--sort of---) with supermarket, (un)flavored tomatoes. Overcooked fish in a salty red sauce with olives... We refused to try the desserts... Went to 'Culture' for a yogurt-- as a way to say 'sorry' to our poor bellies holding all that medicre, expensive food.
