I have not been in a year, and boy, things have changed. Took my friend here for a farewell brunch as she was moving out of the country the next day. I wanted to have a special meal with her and I just ended up being embarrassed and out of $60 for a poor experience. In short, they were out of everything - even a manager. No cocktails (at brunch?!), no brunch pizzas (at brunch?!) no soup, no tea and the biggest shocker of all- NO espresso! It seemed like everything we asked for was not available. We ended up with arancino, amalfi salads and a San Gregorio pie (now $17) to share. The food was good and came out fairly promptly, but the whole experience was spoiled by the service. Our waitress didn't seem to care much that they were out of everything, no apologies. Oh and, there was no manager - just the one waitress and the kitchen staff at 1pm on a Saturday. Will not return.

Came on Saturday Midday: Bruschetta was warmed soft bread that was partially soggy (not crunchy or crispy) from the smeared on toppings (not fully edible). Fennel orange salad was acceptable. Marg. Pizza had a few strands of basil, and was bland, boring and as basic as it gets. Dessert pie was just ok. Every few seconds loud bumping as the few over-taxed waiters constantly come through a loud swinging waist high door with no padding. The place isn't so large so everyone could hear this. The prices were high considering the low quality food, making the value totally unacceptable. I had to call the waiter over to the table who wanted to take the order from a distance. Overall unacceptable - I would never come back.

Showed up at 5:15, barely missing brunch, on a Saturday. They opened for dinner at 5:30, so we waited outside. By the time the doors opened, there were 3 other parties behind us and the place was nearly full by 6pm. It is still BYOB, so I grabbed a bottle from across the street. Our waiter opened it, but did not offer to refrigerate it and it was warm by meal's end. Italian waiters, all very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Our order wasn't rushed, and our food came out quickly. Got the aranchino, which was a little bland int he opinion of my bf, but I thought it was spot on. Also got the seasonal watermelon arugula salad - the only weak link in the chain. I've been making this a lot at home, and wanted to try it with their cheese offering - ricotta - but it was small, boring and bland, and a total rip at $9. Eeesh. I ordered the montanara for $10, which perfect. Can't go wrong with this dish. My bf got a specialty pie with parma, mushrooms, olives, etc... it was good, and nicely priced at $15. The only flaw was the soggy crust - it was pretty much soaking wet in the center. Will definitely go back.
