I had went to that restaurant 2 times and every time i went the service was poor. The waiter placed my girlfriend and I at a table of four. I thought it was nothing because we had more space to ourselves and the space inside the restaurant is small. Next thing I knew the waiter tried to place two more people at our table. Wow. Then the food took a very long time to come and when the drinks were served we had to get it ourselves.

I had friends in town, so I took them there. The food was great, and the music was excellent. It was a large group of us, and we danced our feet off. I loved the interracial crowd. The service was wonderful. The waiters and waitresses were friendly. I will always go there when we have company. Keep up the great spirit there.

The atmosphere seemed promising, but thats where the pleasantries ended. We ordered two entrees: curry chicken and oxtails. The curry chicken was whole pieces of chicken (thigh, drumstick) that looked and tasted like they had simply been bolied in flavorless curry water. It was bland and tasted rubbery. The oxtail was also poor tasting to put it simply. Just the most unappetizing oxtails I can remember ever having. In stark contrast to the curry chicken, it was chopped in tiny little pieces, but the effect was the same, it tasted bitter and overcooked. The service was okay...the waitress was friendly enough. However, the atmosphere quickly lost its magic due to the loud, obnoxious dancehall music that was a little much for the relaxing dinner setting the restaurant portrays. Don't even get me started on the 1 bathroom. I didn't go upstairs, which appeared to be reserved for later in the night so I'm not sure if there is one up there. Overall, we drove all the way from Brooklyn for a poor, poor experience. I hear the one in Flatbush is better, but it's not worth it to me to spend any more money with Footprints when there are excellent Jamaican restaurants with better prices and better service.

I have to tell you this story I use to go to Footprints back in the day in Flatbush, they use to have crab nights and fried fish nights but I use to just drink at the bar, then I heard it turned into a restaurant and that they had another location in Coney Island right down the block from Nathans. I went to visit a friend in Coney Island and she told me she likes to go there so of course we went. I can't began to tell you of the memories it brought back from way back when. Oh now let me tell you I had the fried snapper with the rasta pasta and it was delicious! I am very picky and my friends will agree but I have no complaints. Oh yeah I almost forgot they had entertainment and it was also FAB what a good friday night we had a BALL.

Either more staff needs to be hired or the current staff needs a class on customer service. The extremely long wait to be served is ridiculous. I'm sure my money will be appreciated elsewhere

I went to Footprints for lunch yesterday (Father's Day), they were totally under staff. I was shocked at the service we experienced, the food was cold. One couple next to me waited 45mins for services, the waitress came over at least 5 times to ask if they were ok, and each time he said NO, and she didn't get it. You need more servers, plus the Host at the door can be of service, like cleaning and setting up the tables for the next guest instead of waiting for someone else to do it. I don't see team work at this establishment. We had drinks at the bar while we were waiting to be seated, the woman that serve us the drinks was unpleasant. Its obvious Customer Service needs to be stepped up in your establishment.

I live out of state and wanted to surprise my Godmother with lunch because I couldn't be there to take her out for her birthday personally. A friend of mine suggested take- out from the Footprints on Surf. The staff delivered a variety of entrées; to include crab cakes, (my friend's favorite) and numerous other goodies to my Godmother in less than an hour, and even sang happy birthday! This really made her day! It is the little extras that make a community business a neighborhood friend. You can’t put a price on that kind of service. Word of mouth is the very best marketing so spread the word. Special thanks to David and Alfredo for orchestrating this special request.
