Great service! Not so good food...
The girls here are really sweet, and the food comes fast. I've been coming here for a few years because my mom loves their food, not sure why but anyway-- the Chinese food is something you would eat if it were totally last minute and you have no idea what else to have and well the Mexican, bring a gun, you'll want to use it after the fist few bites. Its so bland and boring, insulting to your taste buds! It taste like nothing basically but burnt food... My favorite part were the Tomatoes... Other then that I wanted to cry! :( Plus, they don't even know how to wrap a Burrito! The service is awesome, but the food needs a little help. :(

on the go convenience...
The Chinese storefront take-out restaurant is a NYC staple, or any other major city in the USA for that matter. These are not places to go for haut cuisine. These places are fast-food establishments that provide the lowest common denominator in meals. In the case of Food House they stepped it up a notch by providign a combination menu consisting of Chinese American favorites and Mexican Foods. For the money, I think they are the best deal in downtown Brooklyn. Their chicken burrito is one of the best I have had in NYC. When I know that I don’t have the time to make dinner, I rely on the Food House. To date, I have been a very satisfied customer. Don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself.

Stick with Chinese
I can't give this a consistent review. This place has reliable Chinese food but don't choose Mexican. You can do better cooking at home. Very bland, unimpressive - kitchen doesn't know what they are doing with Mexican cuisine.

Chinese & Mexican Joint
This is one of those places that's both chinese & mexican food, and believe it or not, the food is pretty tasty! I probably would not go here if I passed by it, but it's worth the money, and worth a try. I would just stick to the simple dishes and not expect anything fancy.
