Placed an order for delivery. An hour later I called to check on where the hell my food was and found out they had sent him to the wrong address. Two minutes later they showed up very apologetically, with a barely warm order of THE WRONG FOOD.

I grew up around the corner from Food Chow and always had it as my take-out "fast food" chinese place. Then I moved and lamented how my new place didn't have any decent "fast food" Chinese, not realizing I was missing Food Chow. Now I am back in the slope and Food Chow is back to being my favorite... And for those who like supporting locally, etc.. it has been the same owners as far back as I remember, at least 15 years.

Honestly, I have never " dined in", but i just ordered delivery and the food was great! Fresh, not greasy, and tasty as heck. order from this place if you want good food.

I live on the same block as Food Chow and have been eating there for five years now. Their food is the best Chinese takeout I've ever had in New York. They only use fresh vegetables and meat, and will give you brown rice at no extra charge. The staff is super friendly too. I can't recommend this place enough.

After living in Park Slope for 7 years, I had been continually disappointed with the Chinese selection. Everything is alright, some tastier than others. Then on my way home one night, I walked by Food Chow Kitchen which is literally one block from my house. I walk by it all the time. On the hunt for a better General Tso's chicken I thought I'd try this little unassuming place thinking it would just be mediocre like the others. Was I wrong! First off the staff there are SO nice, so friendly. Then I got the General Tso's chicken home and it was amazing. I called my husband, who was in Manhattan for the evening and told him I'd found it...the best Chinese in Park Slope! Told him how excellent the General Tso's was and he said "Great! DId you save me some?" it was then that I realized it was so good I had eaten the whole container myself (they have very gernerous portions). We've been ordering Chinese only from them ever since and all of the [select]ions we've tried have been fantastic. And the staff is A++ - they never get our orders wrong, they give us free sodas, and they're fast for delivery. Strongly recommend this as your new local favorite Chinese, try it!

Basically typical florescent light chinese BUT they have consistantly very good, (and unique) hot and sour soup and if you ask for home made mustard you can get the really hot stuff you had as a kid.
