    Fresh and authentic

This little "hole in the wall" Italian restaurant has become one of our favorites in the neighborhood. The place is simple, the service slow, as they only have one waiter(ess) but the food is fantastic. Our favorites are the grilled calamari served over a bed of lemony mixed greens, and the Grilled Portobello mushroom with fresh Mozzarella and Balsamic sauce. Pasta dishes are great including their classic Mare Monti. Additionally, they are very accommodating and friendly to my twin 5 year old children, who love the freshly baked foccaccia bread with olive oil for dipping they bring complimentary to the table.

    Rubber Chicken

I ordered chicken parmesan and couldn't believe how hard and rubbery the chicken was. It was inedible. Didn't eat it but they made me pay for it. Then asked me if I wanted to take it home. What a disappointment! Had to go find another place to eat afterwards!

How did I miss this restaurant?

Focaccaria is a small restaurant in the midst of so many others (i guess that's how i missed it) - what a nice surprise. very good service, good food, a nice atmosphere, a friendly, warm ...i can't say enough about it.

    Solid choice for Italian cuisine

I enjoyed dinner with friends at Foccaceria this past weekend, and we were all pretty impressed. We started our meal with a fried calamari appetizer, and although the exterior tasted quite salty, the fresh quality of the fish helped to mitigate this criticism. I ordered penne vodka for my entree, and as someone who is quite picky about her vodka sauces, I think the chef at Foccaceria did a nice job preparing his! The others in my group also seemed happy with their entrees. The food at Focacceria was not mind blowing, but it was certainly tasty and our waitress was very nice and receptive to questions about the menu options. All in all, I'd be happy to return :)

You can excape the craziness of the city once you enter these doors

The food is excellent...It's quite cozy and modest, but trendy all in one. The staff is so kind and attentive. The owner is such a doll. LOVE THIS PLACE.
