    great

I don't understand why people are so needy of "customer service". the place is great, the food is fantastic, it's cheap. what more do you want? it's a restaurant, not a politically correct convention of pleasantness. the sandwiches and soups are just perfect, so is the price. go in, eat well, spend less, enjoy.

    Affordable good food, fresh atmosphere

I fell in love with this place. The food is fresh and good and really affordable. During my visit to NYC, I made this my place to get lunch every day while staying in the LES. The neighborhood feel of this place is awesome. It was ideal to hang out and enjoy a great meal and plan my day's adventure. They played 60's music in the background, which I really enjoyed. I enjoyed chatting with the locals and being treated like a regular instead of a tourist. Overall, this place was a score to find.

    Great Food... interesting people?

I have to agree with the reviews below. I live down the block and have been somewhat turned off by the customer service, but the food is worth going back for. It's not that they are consistently rude, and I know we live LES and it's a bit slower paced down here.... but I feel like I'm back in South Florida stuck behind an old man on the highway. They are truly at their own pace and I guess it's something to get used to, but the food is great.

    great

The food is awesome. They need to work on their customer service. I think every customer needs to be greeted upon entering but thats just me. The sandwiches are delicious... especially the experience and the revolution. Great food all for under $10... cant beat it. They could try keeping the floor a little cleaner though. Definitely will be coming back on a regular basis.

    Dead Flower

can the staff at flowers cafe be more miserable? the lady in glasses (whom i think is the owner) is so unfriendly. she always looks pissed off or annoyed that you want to order something. such a strange vibe. food is just ok. no frills sandwiches and salads. i pretty sure they use canned soups and bottled dressings though. never understood why people open up restaurants and just do minimal to pay the rent.

    We're not sure...

The food at the flowers cafe was so good that I ignored the fact that the customer service is poor. Sure, the people smile in your face but they are slow to acknowledge you for service when you are in the store and slow to deliver when you order in. One time it took me an hour to get my food - and they still did not deliver everything. Several times, they have forgotten parts of my order and acted as though I had never mentioned it. Today, however, was the last straw. After a long hiatus from ordering from them. I decided to try again and some silly woman told me that oh - I don't know if we deliver that far. (It is a 6 - 8 minute walk.) I am going to check no its so far. William can't walk that far. Really! How ridiculous, Make up your mind flowers cafe.

    Flower Power!

Flowers Cafe is awesome. I love their salads and have recently been trying their paninis and am hooked. Everything is always so fresh and seems very thoughtfully prepared. I like supporting family-owned businesses and it is nice going somewhere where they care enough to remember your name. I love their coffee. It is a gem, check it out.
