My Fianc?e and I tried this restaurant out on a busy Friday night and were so glad we did. The sangria was the best I have tried in NYC and the Tapas were the so tasty. All of the staff was so happy to be working there; the service was great! The portions of the entrees were rather large, but we didn't complain. The atmosphere was very well done. It was not too romantic as I heard before. Comfortable enough to take a friend.

Was there last night - atmosphere was great - candles, live music, people chilling at the bar - We had a really nice time over a pitcher of sangria and tapas. I think it's beautiful there and a nice little spanish place to go to. Highly recommend.

The food at this place was truly amazing, I haven't had tapas that good since I was in Barcelona. The tostones were as good as my mothers, and that is saying something. The service was impeccable, very traditionally spanish, no one bothered my romantic evening with my boyfreind, but when we needed something a waiter was always there. It was a fabulous night, even the espresso lived up to true Spanish heritage. I am going back again and again!

I live in the area and have been to Flor de Sol several times. First time it was great, but since then it has really gone down. Sangria was great, tapas and meals are ok. But be careful because they tend to overcook and burn some choices including the meat and shrimp dishes. I sent my shrimp with garlic back more than once. Waiters are not very attentive and have a difficulty remembering orders when not written down.

The place was small but very comfortable (perfect romantic setting). The food was perfect, as if you were your grandmother's home cooking. It was sweet and romantic and the service was good. Not a cheap not but a very worthwhile. Definitely check this place out!

We had not been there in about 8months and to oour surprise the place is still rocking. There was a flamenco guitarist which added to the atmosphere. The food was consistently good and tasty, same as the last time. The manager and hostess were very warm and accommodating. We felt as if we frequent patrons. We will be back again.

Great value but the luck just seems to run out there.
