Tres Leches - out of this WORLD!
I came here recently on a wednesday night with two girlfriends for dinner. I had the ham croquettes, meatballs and the cheese platter. Everything was delicious! Our server was great and we particulary enjoyed the live flamenco dancing. For dessert we all shared a tres leches cake that was incredible!!! I must say, better than mom makes. Sshh! In all, we definitely got our moneys worth. Will be coming again, this time maybe with a special someone.

good ambience-subpar food!
i had been wanting to go this place for a long time....i am sorry to say but was really disappointed...i have been to so many spanish food places...and the food is sooo good...this place has a nice ambience and feel to it...but the food just spoilt everything....they told me they just had a new chef- bad decision...they need to go back to the old one or get some other chef....and they do charge a lot for this horrible food....i will definitely not recommend this one...

a great night
Went on a whim and were not dissapointed. Service was great and we were seated right away. Tapas plates were the chicken in wine sauce, shrimp in lime and the octopus in a spicy tomato sauce which had a touch of heat. Then we had the seafood salad and the broiled seafood mix. Dessert was the sorbet. Everything was so flavorful and really great...we left full and portions were all a good size. I would go back to try more items.

if you have the big bucks... go
it's very pricy but the food taste really good not big portion. the paellas are great and the black beans with rice. the flor del sol salad is always fresh and crisp. the sangria taste really good. the dessert are great too. I have try the flan and the turtufo. the services is good and the atmosphere is really cozy. i would recommend this place for a first date it's very quiet but they have nice spanish music which sets the mood. i love this place but when you have the cash.

Great atmosphere, food just ok
Place is gorgeous, music and flamenco dancing is great, but the food and service were just "eh". Despite the place being not that busy, our waiter never once came to ask us how things were, if we needed anything, etc. We had to constantly flag him down while he was too busy leaning on the bar and chit chatting and watching the band. The shrimp ceviche was mushy, kind of creepy. The tres leches cake was awesome though. I would only go back for the entertainment, not for the food.

Great place for Entertainment & Food
Everytime we get visitors from out of town and they want to enjoy the city - our must place to eat is Flor de Sol. Great entertainment and the filet mignon, paella, and tapas. Let's not even get into the delish sangria they make. Definitely not your average sit down and talk place. It's better.

Romantic? Yes. Food? So-So
The atmosphere was great. My boyfriend and i went on a tuesday night around 7pm. It was pretty mellow inside. Not crowded. The live music started at 730. We didnt see any dancers.. just guitar playing. It is very dim inside and the colors are romantic. We ordered 3 tapas and the seafood paella. We had the chick croquettes, the skirt steak and the smoked salmon. I thought it was ok. The steak was almost raw and had fat on it, made me a little grossed out. The croquettes were good but my boyfriend said it tasted like a "mozzerella stick". The salmon was good, but you can probably get it at any deli on a bagel. The seafood paella had nice flavors. The seafood wasnt overwheming..just enough. However, there was no crab meat even though the waiter told us there would be. My boyfriend was not fond of it. He thought it was bland. The champagne sangria was really good. Probably the best thing i had. Overall our bill was $80.. so that is pretty good. I dont think ill return. It was a nice one time thing.
