The best food ever
I haven't eaten anything else on the menu except for ropa vieja. This dish comes highly recommended. It is absolutely to die for! My goodness. I go there every so often to eat this because it's stupendous. Fresh, well-seasoned, juicy, excellent taste. The service is friendly but a little slow at times. The prices are reasonable but overall, the food is worth the wait. Bon apetit!

Excellent
A cut above, if not several cuts above, the other local Latin restaurants. Whereas El Caridad, Embajada and Rosita offer good satisfying cheap grub, Flor de Mayo offers genuine cuisine. Years ago, I was addicted to their Pollo a la Brasa. Time passed, and I somehow forgot about the place. I ordered delivery today, first time in around 8 years: Ropa Vieja, Potato & Egg in special sauce, cafe con leche. Delivery literally arrived in UNDER 10 MINUTES. All of it was well-prepared, and well-seasoned. Delicious. I'm going to be a regular again.

A Consistent Winner
I've been eating here for many years and always leave satisfied. As you enter and exit the restaurant, you'll see people obviously relishing their food--a good omen! I've had both sides of the menu and can definitely recommend the bok choy, chinese string beans and wonton soup for those who haven't ventured to the Chinese side. And don't even get me started on the chuleta!

this is my favorite restaurant ever!
I love this place! It has such good food! I could eat there every day. I usually get the chicken with yellow rice and black beans and it is so awesome. I either order or go there at least twice a week because the food is so great. I definitely reccomend this place to anybody who likes peruvian/chinese/spanish food.

My favorite place!
If you're looking for good Spanish/Asian food, this is the place. I am a regular here. I met a couple of celebs there also which is pretty impressive. Anyway I would reccommend this place PLUS the prices are excellent and affordable.

Very good Spanish food
If your looking for a good spanish food, this taste is the closest to the taste in San Juan. The broiled pork chop is juicy and tender. Their specialty on the menu is their chicken, which is very good -- it has a similar taste to rotisserie chicken. Their plaintains is soft and sweet. Just delicious! I would definitely return to this place again for authentic spanish food.
