Great food!
A few plates I'd recommend are pollo a la brasa, chicken lo mein, chicken n broccoli, broiled chicken filet. These are just a few. Definitely worth checking out..

Tasteless "Pollo a la Brasa"...
Based on such wonderful reviews about the Pollo a la Brasa I thought, why not? Oh well, after attempting to swallow the first bite I couldn't sadly but conclude that not a single reviewer has ever tasted the real Pollo a la Brasa in Peru. This was the poorest chicken ever!! Shame on you Flor de Mayo to advertise it as a Peruvian dish. The other dish I ordered was the Aji de Gallina, again if you don't have enough of the yello aji, aji panca which is what is used for the color and flavor, please don't bother adding extra palillo to make up for it. What a disappointment this dish was. Finally, the Lomo Saltado. Ok, so it was fine but who could mess up a dish that is made with meat, potatoes, onions and tomatoes and maybe some bit of vinegar for extra taste. If it hadn't been for the Lomo Saltado I would had been $45 dollars poorer and for nothing. Did I mention I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for my food to arrive. Also, Chinese Peruvian food is called Chifa. Not unusal for Chinese people to have wonderful Chifas in Peru but if they want to open a restaurant in the States and make people believe this is what Peruvians really eat, they got something else coming their way! One other thing, speaking some real Castilian wouldn't hurt either. While placing my order, I couldn't understand a word in English or Spanish from the guy taking it.

Best Peruvian Chicken
Flor De Mayo has the best Peruvian Chicken in the city, along with a very good classic cocktail list, and low prices. This is a rare restaurant that is equally good for sit-down and take-out. The cevice and fried plantanes at Flor De Mayo are quite good as companions to the Peruvian Chicken.
