Better than Many
Ordered delivery - fast/on time, warm, correct order, tasty and healthy, lady on the phone was informative and helpful. Maybe a tad pricey for portion size.

Amazing chicken
I love the whole chicken they serve here. Dump some of the hot sauce on it and you and you family/friends are set for a meal. the black beans with yellow rice and friend plantains are also some of my favorites. Definitely worth grabbing a bit here or picking up/ordering in if you haven't already

Solid & Reliable
i have been going to and ordering from Flor de Mayo for a number of years and the food is consistently good. It is always busy so you can be assured that the food is fresh. Delivery is fast and food is always hot.

Great Local Place
I have been going to Flor since the 80's and let me say, the reason the place is packed most nights and almost every table is littered with 'pollo a la brasa' remains is that, while there are a few other gems on the menu, the chicken by far the best peruvian style chicken in the city. (Be sure to use the sauce!)

Overpriced like hell
Their food is decent, but bland. They make the best fried dumplings and spare ribs, but paying a fortune for them is out of the question. My advice: get some fried dumplings as a snack or entree, and you won't have to sell your first-born to get it.

The Peruvian Chicken is not good
As a frequent patron of another latin spot in the hood, I decided to branch out and give the roast chicken at Flor De Moyo a shot. A really sad and in my opinion disrespectful show for the customers....bland would be an understatement, as well as questionable in terms of the quality of the produce to begin with. For those who take pride in eating good roast chicken.......this is definately not the place!

A true Gem in the City!!!
I have been going to Flor de Mayo now for over 3 years. It has truly won a special place in my heart and definitely in my stomach. I am of Peruvian descent and I had the distinct pleasure of bringing my family to the restaurant on one of their visits - they absolutely loved it! And if you knew my parents - you'd know that's no small feat. The food is delicious, the service is great (anyone can help you at anytime - there is no set waiter system there) and the prices are absolutely reasonable for the portions you get. A couple favorites of ours that I recommend: Lomo Saltado w/ Chicken, or Tallarin Verde con Pollo, or the Pork Chops, or Pollo ala Brasa (the list goes on and on). So trust me, great place, great food, very sweet people - Go and Treat Yourself - I Promise you'll Love It!!!
