Reviews regarding poor service are spot on. Were waiting 45 min for raw oyster app when entrees came and had to be sent back. Busboy dropped muscles in red sauce on me and nobody seemed to care. Never received glass of wine or side of asparagus we ordered, which may be good thing since table next to us sent theirs back a few times. Check had to be corrected to remove things we didn't order. Our waiter was lively and fun, perhaps too much, but at some point you also need to remember your a waiter and actually service the table. Also, muscles were as salty as the sea they grew in.

What's wrong with you people? This place is terrific! The mussels are delicious and well priced. The staff are funny, attentive and courteous (no, they didn't pay me to say that). C'mon tourists... show a little backbone, will ya?

i had such a great meal here. me and my friend walked by and it looked so cute so we stopped and had a drink at an outdoor table. they have a really cute garden set up in front. we decided to order food and wound up eating about 5 courses!! we started with fresh oysters. they had a selection of about 6 or 7 oysters from the east and west coasts. a few were standard malpeques from pei but some of them i had never heard of. When i asked the waiter for more information she sent out the owner who gave me a whole rundown of what we were eating. apparently they get their oysters directly from the distributors and are getting the most rare and fresh oysters in the city. besides eating oysters like shigoku and cushing flats which i have not seen other places, all of the oysters were so fresh and unbelivebale. the owner told me that shigokus are a relatively new oyster and are being grown in a revolutionary way. actually learned a lot of cool info! they serve oysters w 4 or 5 different sauces- but honestly these were so good i ate them plain. then we ordered the crab cakes which were really excellent- not overly breaded- just a lot of really fresh crab meat. also tried the bombay mussels which were out of this world. also the fries were amazing. they have a really nice and user friendly wine list and an awesome beer selection. i had such a great experience here- eveyrone was so nice and friendly. the staff looks happy and it shows in how they treat the guests. about 3 people came up to say hi, ask how we were doing and if they could get us anything. now that i think i may have to go back tonight- i will deffinitely be a serious regular at flex!!

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very enjoyable. We had a great salad as an appetizer. However, my friend's mussels were overcooked and bland, and we could see that those at the next table had the same experience, as they kept adding salt and pepper to their food. My fish special was pretty good but very overpriced.

Hey an honest review here. I have given this place more than enough attempts. The Mussels are great, no denying it, however the wait for them can be long and painful. I dont mind waiting for good food, but it amazes me how poor the service at this place is. Expect a long wait for your food and drinks.

Great food - as expected a bit above par, but the service was sub par (multiple times had to ask for the simplest things - i.e. a new fork / cocktail sauce / bread.) - buuuttt the thing that my wife and I are still talking about the next day is the smell in our clothing and coats. Please take our word for it - DO NOT wear anything nice to the restaurant - we can not get the smell (which is a pungent mix of garlic and other odors which smells like you were in the smelliest taxi cab whose driver hasn't showered in days) out of our jackets (our other clothing was immediately put into the washing machine) - hopefully you will take our word as you don't smell it while you are in there, but once you get home.
