My wife and I tried this restuarant over the weekend. We were seated promptly but the service throughout dinner was slow. We didn't mind it as much since we were not in a rush to go anywhere. We ordered the famed Thai mussels, fries and lobster roll. The Thai mussels were less authentic than I expected (having been to Thailand on several occasions and grown accustomed to great Thai food this dish should be termed more appropriately "spicey coconut curry mussel" instead). The lobster roll was disappointing since the lobster serving was small and we could barely taste it. Overall, we think this place is ok. We may try the other items on the menu just to have a better sense of what the restaurant has to offer.

I come in often And always enjoy myself. Their mussels are great- it would be weird if they weren't. I cannot steer myself away from the Parma preparation, but whenever I come I eat some of my partners kind. Our faves are bisque and Thai. I think those are their most popular so maybe we should branch out! It's a really cute space feels laid back and not stuffy. And we have only had positive experiences with the staff. Our favorite waiter left for broadway but everyone is good. Pricey oysters but really worth it- they are awesome.

I've never been to a restaurant with ruder people. Someone needs to teach Flex Mussels that it isn't a privilege to attend their restaurant. You need to treat the customer with respect. Made a reservation here and then got to the restaurant and was told that my reservation was for a different time (later than the reservation I had made). And then the table wasn't even ready by the later time. The management and hostess were rude and arrogant and told me it was my fault and there was nothing they could do (still not really sure how it was my fault for messing up my reservation). And not a single apology for the delay and the changes reservation. I would never go back to this restaurant. There are plenty of other mussels in the city.

Excellent provencale mussels but the fra diavolo (sp) werent that great. Excellent bread. We split the argula salad which was enough for two. The prices are high but the food is good.

This place is awesome! I had the PEI mussels and they were out of this world.

My boyfriend and I shared mussels on one of our first dates. We found it romantic to split the dish and are always looking for new spots to indulge our cravings for mussels. I think we found our “go to place” with FLEX MUSSELS! We are huge fans of the classic mussel dish in white wine at Flex! The first time we went we split the dish and fries….needless to say our second trip back, we each got our own!

The oysters at Flex were some of the best I've eaten, anywhere. Fresh, briny, and plump! Mussels that I've tried so far (after a couple of visits) were great and the broth is so delicious you can't get enough. I recommend the Fra Diavolo and the Thai! If they are serving the special with a pound of lobster meat, champagne and black truffles, don't miss it! Desserts are divine and the place is lots of fun with a great "vibe". Noisy, but if you can still hear, it's worth it.
