Overrated
I went here longing for mussels. First they were not cheap compared to other places. they were overcooked and swimming in broth. The bread was quite good, but that is not what we came for. Place is a little too sterile for me. Specials were boring. The desserts were overprized for what we got.

Great Mussels and bread. Pass on the rest.
Great, plump, PEI mussels. Tried Italiano, Bombay, Thai and Marsailles. All great, Italiano and Marsailles best. Sour dough bread, excellent. Salad not worth 11.00, beers overpriced, fries nothing special. Maybe try truffle fries next time. Definately need reservations, busy place. Mussels are a 5, quantity more than enough.

Very good
Great place, great atmosphere although a bit noisy. The specials are ridiculously over-priced and they try to up-sell you on them [of course]. My friend received the wrong mussels and rather than make good with a complimentary drink or dessert or apology the server was certain it was what she ordered. Anyhow, service wasn't too bad, they kept asking if we needed bread or anything else. I'd go back but management should train staff to realize the old saying, "The Customer is always right."

Delicious mussels
The mussels are very good and the service attentive. Our only quibble regarding the meal: we only received a few pieces of bread, which we devoured before the entree came. We would have appreciated more bread in order to sop up the sauce. The only complaint I have is that the room is very noisy. If you really want to chat with your dinner companions -- and hear what they have to say -- this isn't the ideal place.

Great food, Good Atmosphere, OK service
The name aside, this was a very nice restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the ambiance were both very good, however, they were very busy (Thursday night at 8pm), and although our server was friendly, it didn't make up for the fact that our dinner took 2 1/2 hours because "the kitchen was backed up". He also promised to send us dessert on him because of the wait, but then charged us for it when the bill came... However, the food was absolutely delicious (mussels were perfection), and the deep fried whoopie pie was decadent. I also thought the restaurant was well decorated and cozy for a date--tables were a bit too crowded for a larger group.

Disappointed
I heard about this place on the Cooking Channel and was anxious to try it. The mussel dinner portion was not that large. The french fries were very salty.

Pleasantly surprised!
This place was amazing! My boyfriend and I went on a Monday night around 10 so we didn't experience the loud crowd. The server was great, offering his recommendations and he was always around when we needed something. Food was unexpectedly one of the best we have had so far in the city (both of us agree!). My boyfriend loves lobster rolls and has had them from many famous places but he said this is the best one he has ever eaten! Not drowned in mayo like others we've tried. Def will be back soon
