Heard about this place and tried it out. I like cozy restaurants. However...I don't want to pay nicely furnished restaurant menu prices for sitting in a cafeteria-like setting as by flex. Uncomfortable seats and one of those places" lets get the customer out for quick turn-over" We ordered different mussels such as Copenhagen, mustard, spicy tomatoes. with exception of mine, the other choices were overcooked. When asking the waiter, the response was: they are small this time of year" ?? Great bread and nice beer selection. If u are in a rush and like to sit in a Ikea-like setting, then this is for you. Oh yes...don't order the specials- 0verprized. Servers need to care more about the people that are tipping them.

first time at this place last night. 4 of us had a great meal. we all had different mussels, dijon, maine lobster, copenhagen(blue cheese) and one with prosciutto. all of them were really good. I think there were about 20 different types, more than enough to choose from. had a couple of sides of fries and with the great bread to soak up the remaining broth we had plenty to eat. also ordered a variety of the donuts for dessert. the cost without drinks but with tax and tip came to $75 per couple, which in NY is not terrible. anyway no complaints and will definitely go back or to the other one in the village.

Ate there w/ 2 friends last night. This was my 5th experience. The energy of Flex was bubbling from the moment we crosssed the threshold. The host was friendly, sat us very quickly. The air conditioning was set at sub zero, they did everything to make us comfortable w/ zero attitude. Kale Ceaser salad was fresh & served on chilled plates. Each of our entrees was amazing as was the bread and donut dessert. Wait staff was the best of all my experiences, Jonah was one of our servers. I'm still full the morning after & look forward to my 6th visit! Bravo Flex Mussels!!!

Just had dinner at Flex Mussels- service was poor. Took 25 minutes after ordering drinks and appetizers, with NOTHING served but lukewarm water, only to be told that the place could not make our drinks. No apology, only explanation was "I was caught up with another table." The food was good, but the service definitely needs improvement.

I went here longing for mussels. First they were not cheap compared to other places. they were overcooked and swimming in broth. The bread was quite good, but that is not what we came for. Place is a little too sterile for me. Specials were boring. The desserts were overprized for what we got.

Great, plump, PEI mussels. Tried Italiano, Bombay, Thai and Marsailles. All great, Italiano and Marsailles best. Sour dough bread, excellent. Salad not worth 11.00, beers overpriced, fries nothing special. Maybe try truffle fries next time. Definately need reservations, busy place. Mussels are a 5, quantity more than enough.

Great place, great atmosphere although a bit noisy. The specials are ridiculously over-priced and they try to up-sell you on them [of course]. My friend received the wrong mussels and rather than make good with a complimentary drink or dessert or apology the server was certain it was what she ordered. Anyhow, service wasn't too bad, they kept asking if we needed bread or anything else. I'd go back but management should train staff to realize the old saying, "The Customer is always right."
