Walked past Flaco's today and decided to try the slice - still looking for good pizza in the neighborhood. It came out hot, and not burned, cooked just right. The crust - perfect: very thin on the bottom, chewy but crunchy on the outside - very good. The cheese - exactly right type of cheese, melted perfectly. The balance of salt, oil, bread and cheese was fantastic. The sauce - not so much; pretty tasteless actually. Good NY pizza needs a tangy and sweet sauce to balance out the oil, salt and cheese. There is a reason oil-based dressings have vinegar in them - oil needs an acid for balance. If Flaco switches to a tangy-sweet sauce with some real tomato taste, then his slice will be the best in the city. For now - needs improvement.

Great tomato sauce, crispy chicken parm, wonderful pizza almost always. I love this place and everyone who works here, very special.

Best pizza I've found in the neighborhood, and very cheap. Consistently tasty. You never end up with runny, overly greasy cheese. A small pizza is usually enough for two people. Delivery is usually as fast as can be expected, but they make the pizza to order so you can expect to wait at least twenty minutes.

Not consistent, but it can be the best slice north of 14th St. Also, pasta dishes are good, mainly because the sauce is so good. Fast delivery.
