Will never go there again
First we order raw clams and oysters. it took over an hour to get the order. it was served with frozen cocktail sauce and waterdown hot sauce. so dissatified with that order we tried the catfish fingers...it did not have a bit of seasoning and just wasn't tasty. the music was disappointing....the DJ played music from the 80's. First and very last time.

Finger-Lickin Ribs!
I signed up as a menu pages user just to write this review because it seems this soul food joint has got a bad rap in the past. I've ordered delivery from here a bunch of times and can't stop dreaming about the Hickory Smoked BBQ Ribs in between. I'm in the food and wine industry by trade and can say from experience that I am lucky to have this place in my hood. Although it may not be five star, Five Spot has got comfort food down, sweet staff and my food has always comes hot and left me satisfyed and smiling. Love the real smashed potatoes and gravy, mac n 7 cheeses and homemade back porch iced tea. Sure the food is fattening but to me it's worth every calorie especially on those days that you need to soak up the remaining alcohol with delicious cornbread from the night before

Ruined my perfect weekend
The food was unappetizing. I ordered the southern fried chicken with collared greens, red beans, rice and Mac n cheese. The red beans and rice tasted stale and dry. The Mac n cheese tasted extra fatty & the collard greens had no flavor. The music was ridiculosly loud. The drinks was watered down.

love this place!
so happy that they got back on their delivery game. sure, some things on the menu aren't always on point, but for the most part if you're craving some soul food and home cookin', they really come through. cheesesteaks, fried chicken po' boy, meatloaf plate, and desserts never let you down. love y'as!

soggy
I ordered delivery the crab cakes with spinach and fries and cornbread. The crab cakes were overly peppery and soggy and the fries were so soggy they tasted wet.The cornbread was cold and the delivery had no change, so had to wait for him to go to store and return.

Great Philly's
try a philly cheese steak. i had one with chicken and thought it was great. you can add fries for a buck. i had the sweet potato fries. they were so sweet i didn't need any ketchup.

a neighborhood disgrace
but for some reason people still travel there to check out the "soul food"... it is just plain awful. period.
