    Mmmmmm!

Yesterday I ordered the truffled mac and & 7 cheeses with chorizo and shrimp. It was amazing moist, creamy and cheese. The  portion was so large it was enough to fill my self and friend. Also we order the blue point oyster on the half shell. They were sooo fresh you can taste the sea water in the half shell.  The delivery  was  very fast and the guy was very friendly on the phone. This place rocks! I will be ordering from five spot soon

    5 Spot Hit The Spot

Yes they play old skool music... Everybody doesn't wanna hear Beyonce in every dang venue genius! And the food, ridiculously DELISH!.... The BBQ ribs are smoked and have some kind of smoked bacon undertone. Mac n cheese is ok, canded yams are OMG! *drooling*eye rolls to back of head*. The drinks are STRONG. Peach cobbler doesn't have any syrup though and is served in a martini glass. The potato salad is mong the top 3 I've tasted! I rarely go to thesame restaurant more than 3 times cuz there are so many to try in NYC, but he 5 Spot is one I have been to at least 10 times. Went 2 nights ago, going again tonight.

    Fantastic Cheese Steaks

Stop by Fivespot for some lunch and decided to have the Philly cheese steak. The sandwich was amazing! I have been to Philly and this is as authentic as you can get in New York. Chopped beef, onions, with melted American cheese, I found a new home. Thanks Fivespot.

    Not Recommended

I order the collard greens and blackened shrimp, banana pudding three side orders just to get the taste of the food. The collard had no flavor just salty tasted, sub par blackened shrimp just peppery and salty and over cooked, also, the banana pudding had soggy cookies and no banana in it, just pudding and cookies...I want my money back.

    Will never go there again

First we order raw clams and oysters. it took over an hour to get the order. it was served with frozen cocktail sauce and waterdown hot sauce. so dissatified with that order we tried the catfish fingers...it did not have a bit of seasoning and just wasn't tasty. the music was disappointing....the DJ played music from the 80's. First and very last time.

    Finger-Lickin Ribs!

I signed up as a menu pages user just to write this review because it seems this soul food joint has got a bad rap in the past. I've ordered delivery from here a bunch of times and can't stop dreaming about the Hickory Smoked BBQ Ribs in between. I'm in the food and wine industry by trade and can say from experience that I am lucky to have this place in my hood. Although it may not be five star, Five Spot has got comfort food down, sweet staff and my food has always comes hot and left me satisfyed and smiling. Love the real smashed potatoes and gravy, mac n 7 cheeses and homemade back porch iced tea. Sure the food is fattening but to me it's worth every calorie especially on those days that you need to soak up the remaining alcohol with delicious cornbread from the night before

    Ruined my perfect weekend

The food was unappetizing. I ordered the southern fried chicken with collared greens, red beans, rice and Mac n cheese. The red beans and rice tasted stale and dry. The Mac n cheese tasted extra fatty & the collard greens had no flavor. The music was ridiculosly loud. The drinks was watered down.
