    Not recommended

I wasn't aware of 5 Guys' policy that their burgers only come "well done". If anyone else likes their burgers juicy and medium or medium rare, I'd avoid 5 Guys - not only was it cooked through, but it was dry, bland and unfortunate.

Good food, poor service and prices

The food here is fine good burgers, awesome fries, good hot dogs. It is really overpriced however it wouldn't cost too much more to go to a legitimate restaurant for a burger (which also might deliver). Also, it takes forever to get your food. While I don't mind waiting for food, it just seems really inefficient the way they run the place. Bottom line, if you want a good greasy burger and fries, but don't mind paying too much and waiting too long, five guys is totally legit.

    It's not fancy-it's a delicious burger!

I'm a little confused by the negative reviews as well. You're complaining that the food was greasy? Um...that's kind of the point. Five Guys is a classic burger joint and the food is awesome. The burgers are the only burgers I'll eat (no kidding -- otherwise I only go chicken or veggie) and the fries are spec-tac-u-lar. No, this isn't like a burger you'd get at your favorite steakhouse -- but if that's what you want, *go* to your favorite steakhouse. Nothing here but yummy, old-fashioned burgers and enough grease to make the carry out bag clear! It's awesome!

Awesome fries do not make a good burger

Really good fries and enormous portion of them -- too bad they are fried in PEANUT oil, so watch it for those of us with allergies. Service - pathetic. Burgers - mediocre. Place - needed a good scrub down. Too expensive for what you get.

Too many cooks in the kitchen?

I just tried the place out. First off, they must have about 9 people behind the counter. It seemed like they were all training because the girl on the grill was the only one working and instructing the rest of the crew. There was a guy who stood staring at 4 burgers for 2 minutes and 43 seconds (I timed him) without touching them. I'm still trying to figure out how the other 8 employees could ignore the orders that were not going out. Mine was one of them and all it needed was BBQ sauce and to be wrapped up. OK, I understand they just opened so I will let this go. As far as the taste, the burger was OK (all burgers are cooked well), nothing to write home about. The fries were very good. They should really consider delivering. I will try them again. They seem like a clean operation.

    It's what it is!

OK its not the most romantic spot, but it is what it is, a burger joint! Its quick descent food and its affordable. I wouldn't go there an important business lunch, but lets face it, about time Montague Street added some quick menu ideas without shelling out lots of cash! I also wouldn't stop in, if I was on a diet, no great options in that department!

OK food -- no vegetarian options

Grilled cheese, fries or "veggies" are not comprable vegetarian options. Restaurant was dirty, and food was very expensive and greasy.
