Went to 5 Guys hoping for something like an East Coast rendition of In'n'Out burger, but basically got a high priced rendition of MacDonalds. Their burgers are nothing special, small (even though they are doubles, their two patties is still smaller than a normal sized single burger...probably because all the fat melts away when they are cooked on their high school cafeteria "grill"), and expensive (7 bucks for a cheeseburger, before you order fries and a drink). They give you more than enough fries (about twice as much food as contained in the burger), but they're pretty soggy and also greasy. You're much better off going to another restaurant and getting a burger and fries, paying the same amount, and getting more bang for your buck (and less grease).

Everything is made to order ... I believe they are the best burger you are going to find. You can get a great variety of toppings you won't find at other burger places. I have been here a few times & it has yet to disappoint. Plus the fries are great!!!! Lots of em and they are fresh & hot.

Five Guys has the best cheeseburger above all and by a long shot. The french fries are delicious as well and I highly recommend you give it a try. I know I will be a returning customer!

I would like to preface this review by letting the reader know that I am not going to unfairly review five guys due to my bad day, or my crappy husband, or my kids running around the house screaming. I realize it's easy to take out the stresses of our everyday lives on a faceless establishment, but believe it's extremely unfair to allow emotions to seep into these reviews, which they obviously are. Five Guys is a burger chain. It's an establishment based around providing fast and good burgers at a decent price. Not only does it do that well, but there are also many delightful perks, such as the big box of free peanuts customers can munch on while their burger is being prepared for them (right in front of them), a huge selection of toppings, and ample, comfortable seating for the customers. Oh yeah, and free refills. Nice.

don't worry about what the other comments say...if you like burgers and know what a good one tastes like, this place is for you...

Another lousy restaurant opens on 7th Avenue - this one trys to pretend it's not a burger chain - a high priced one at that. At least McDonald's doesn't pretend. The burgers are absolutely flavorless - without the complimentary toppings there's this disk of something on a mushy bun. The fries are ok - not great. Not worth the money. I guess the high rents in the Slope insure we won't have a decent restaurant - just those looking to rip people off.

I disagree with the other reviewers. I needed a quick dinner to pick up and was craving a cheeseburger...this place hit the spot. Yes, I would probably not want to dine there, pretty tacky burger joint decor and bad fluorescent lighting. But the woman who took my order was friendly and answered my questions and I was able to pick up my meal without waiting long. And more importantly, my dinner was very tasty. The fries were awesomecrispy but not too much so, and seasoned nicely. And the burger was perfectly made to order. It's not the best I've ever had, but better than most places that specialize in burgers.
