    Not recommended

No substance to the food. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a drink. The burger had no flavor, the fries had no flavor and the soda was watered down. The price was not justified. You are better off going to a pub for a burger. My overall impression was the food was extremely low in quality (genetically engineered with no flavor).

    Snobs!

I am so sick of all these Park Slope snobs giving bad reviews to five guys. What makes you feel so special about yourself and surrounding environs that you feel that a place like this shouldn't exist in your elitist bubble? It is people like you that make others think of Park Slope as snobby, close minded and attractive to self-righteous, elitist, know-it-all, neo-hippie yuppies. What makes you feel so entitled that you can call Bay Ridge "cheap" or "tacky" enough to have a place like five guys? What entitles you to bash a greasy spoon because it's not your precious organic, environmentally friendly establishment. This is the only place in the entire area that does a proper fast food burger. Go back to Connecticut and stop feeling like the dictator of what was once a great diverse family neighborhood (that you most likely just moved to with your kids who go to Berkley Carroll and aren't allowed to associate with PS kids). I'm sad, cause this elitist, anti-greasy spoon attitude didn't exist here ten years ago. Five Guys is delicious if you like greasy fast food places, and aren't so high on yourself that you can't enjoy some down and dirty in your precious little slope. And please, don't ever tell anyone to "Stop" giving a place they like good reviews just because you don't like the style of the food being served. If you don't like this kind of burger please don't give it a bad review. A Diner burger and a fast food burger have nothing in common, STOP comparing the two. Again, if you like old fashioned fast food burgers go to Five Guys. P.S. I have never written a bad review for Connecticut Muffin, even though it obviously does not belong in this hood. Do you know why? Because I don't have to be negative just so everyone can hear me. That's what I feel these bad reviews of Five Guys are doing. Leave the rest of us alone who like it, we don't care that you clearly don't understand the place. What is your goal? Do you want it to go out of business so that those of us who crave it have nowhere to go? Or maybe you hate people having jobs at small businesses. It's an independently franchise, so yes, it is a small business (before I get flack for that).

    Stop.

Unbeleivable that Park Slope would allow a franchise like this to exist in the heart of the slope. For the moment i stepped into this establishment i thought i was in the heart of Bay Ridge---not very stimulating. Without being so subjective, i can objectively say that if you want to ridiculously over pay for fast food then this is the place. The diner across the street on 7th and 7th offers a real dining experience and a real burger for less money

    Best Greasy Spoon Bruger!

This is an amazing greasy spoon style burger. Unless you've become a total up tight gourmet boutique burger snob or don't have any understanding of this style of burger (which many reviewers seem to lack) to begin with, try five guys. It completely satisfies that craving for old fashioned salty, rendered-fat greasy, loosely packed but thin, patty craving. And running the cheese across the grill, that's called flavor! Mmmmm... I'm going to go clog my arteries at Five Guys right now! It is the only place that can crave my greasy spoon appetite in the slope. They even post all the calories on the menu board, so they clearly have no intention of misleading the customer about the cholesterol and fat in store for them!

    two strikes and you're out

The smell of stale cooking oil should have warned us, but the kids wanted to go. Not open a year and sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. The buns were stacked on a griddle but not toasted. They ended up mushy. Asked for a cheeseburger and saw the "cook" run a slice of American over the grill while the burger was cooking - ugh. The fries we got were oily and cold - took them back. Way too expensive for a low quality burger that's sloppily cooked and they couldn't care less. Not going back no matter what anybody says.
