    still good but it's slipping

    Don't count on getting the reservation you asked for! This staff is not quite as professional as it was before new management. Consider the prices--$15 for a glass of wine, expensive for an upstairs restaurant where tables are crowded together and the noise level is high. Fish good, atmosphere not.

    It was a dinner for two with the works! The service was fantastic, and the entire staff was attentive and friendly. The meal from beginning to end was extremely tasty, presented well, and a lovely variety that made one look forward to the next course. The desserts were amazing and just thinking about them makes me want to go back for dinner. My compliments to the Pastry Chef. I wish there were more like this one.

    Went for brunch and found the experience very charming. The wait staff was friendly and the upstairs room was very attractive. There were a couple small flaws with the menu that would not prevent my returning. The lobster benedict contains absolutely no lobster, I think the orange sauce on the english muffin had lobster 'essense' but the dish is named incorrectly. Also my chocolate pudding did not have any pistachios, which were under the menu description but did not appear on my plate. I did, however, have a lovely brunch. Nice cocktails but be prepared to empty your wallet when the bill comes.

    very much improved

    great restaurant week menu selection (the entirety of the menu was available) had read the positive reviews but was a little suspicious as they were mostly glowing. found all to be accurate, great atmosphere upstairs, excellent service and great food. all around pleasing staff and experience. will definitely return to this charming spot.

    The smallest shrimps in one of the best seafood restaurant

    I can't get over the disappointment I had after having brunch at Fishtail. This is a seafood restaurant! Where was that seafood? I swear I never saw such small shrimps in my grits and "shrimp " order. Other dishes weren't that tasty eigher.it's expensive place and of course expectations are high!!

    Service has gone down, big time

    I used to be a regular here, bringing lots of family and friends over the years, and I will not be going back. The service has gone downhill (in a major way) and there are better choices out there. They run out of customer favorites on the menu (how can you be a seafood restaurant and run out of fish and lobster in the same night!), the manager is smug, the hostess is unorganized, water never makes it to the table, and the clientele has deteriorated. Do yourself a favor and pick one of New York's other restaurants - even another David Burke restaurant - just not Fishtail.

    Very disappointed

    Waste of time and money. Friend ordered risotto with lobster and it arrived instead with shrimp and no one knew why or how. Where is the chef at this pricey David Burke restaurant. There was nothing that my friend or I liked. Waiters were rushing and hard to find. Especially when the order was wrong. I sense a downhill turn of this previous good place.
