Original menu delicious
This is one of the most original and interesting menus I've come across in a long time. Branzino with head cheese? Crab with eggplant on foccacia? Unexpected pairings of fish and meat that were all wonderful and delicious. We enjoyed everything we had and look forward to going back. Suggestion: change the soundtrack. Led Zeppelin was too loud and intrusive. Switch to classical and let me hear myself complimenting the food and wine.

Fantastic
Just had dinner there tonite. I have to say that it's the best fish restaurant in the upper west side easily and definitely a contender for the city as a whole. The food was delicious. The service was terrific. The wine list was diverse. And the atmosphere was great. The food was pricey but not unreasonable. My new favorite restaurant. Will be going back and soon.

AMAZING!
Not sure what the criticism is about. The food is amazing, the food and ingredients so fresh. A great wine list, drink list and wonderful service. This place rocks! The interior is beautiful. Love this place...

What? Fish Tag rocks!!
I just stumbled upon the review that said that Fish Tag is pretentious and boring.. HAHAHAHA! That review is soooo far from my experience that have to say something about it. Fish Tag has a super cool menu of things you don't find anywhere else, at least in my experience. I went with my girlfriend and we found 70's and 80's rock as music background, endless wine list available completely from half glass to a full bottle and last but not least FANTASTIC food! Our server was knowledgeable, helpful and far from rude and stuffy. Will I go back..?? Tonight! I have a reservation at 6:30. So we'll be able to stay long and enjoy all we haven't try last time.

Good but not rushing back
Went to Fish Tag- new Michael Psilakis restaurant- during first week -- it felt it was still a work in progress. Atmosphere was on the cold & impersonal side. The menu was interesting -- as they grouped meals by light to heavy - with matching appetizers. Most of the appetizers were very tasty - especially Crabmeat & Eggplant Brusheta - descent sizes. Main courses were hit & miss -- had the grilled swordfish - which came out pratically raw (wasn't asked how I wanted the fsh cooked) -- they took back and gave table an order of "Sheep Milk Dumplings" to tide me over -- Theses were fabulous - would order these as meal. Portions were on the small side. Skipped dessert -- Watch out for wine/cocktail prices -- very expensive.
