A True Oasis
A real quiet, romantic atmosphere. We had a nice waiter and the food was delicious. I reccomend the falafel. It was super. The prices are fair and the portions are large. We were looking to try a new cuisine and I was very pleased.

Always comes through
I agree with all the reviews. We have ate there many times. This restaurant is a step beyond. They never mess up dinner. It's become a once a week visit. We love First Oasis.

When In Bay Ridge
High quality Middle Eastern food. Always fresh, always great. The one place you have to drop in on when you're in the area whether it's to eat in or take out, (usually both). It's one of those "I wish it was closer to us" places.

Best Middle Eatern
I've been loving this Restaurant for 4 years now. Ive tried all of the neighborhood middle eastern restaurants and this is my favorite. the Falafel is crispy on outside and moist on the inside, full of herbal flavor sprinkled with seseme seeds. The spinach pie is very thick & tasty & not greasy. The ouzi is a fried rice with vegis & pine nuts wrapped in a phyllo dough with a yogurt cucumer salad on the side. Delish, you can get it with Chicken, lamb or vegi. The owner chef cooks the rice in a vegi broth. great rice. I'm a vegitarian but all my meat eating friends love the Chicken, Lamb, shrimp & salmon. My favorite thing to order is the vegi combonations. For $9 you can get a big slice of spinach pie, salad, hummas, 2 Falafel balls and a grape leaf. They are willing to make combo dishes mixing hot and cold appitizers. Other restaurants won't do this and you end up paying much more. The prices are great. The wine list is small but it's all good and very cheap. Most of the time I get company this is where they want to eat. First Oasis is my favorite restaurant in Bay Ridge. No one has been this consistant. The owner chef used to own a restaurant in the West Village for 25 years called the Magic Carpet. He got great reviews from every major newspaper. Parking can take a little time. There is a lot across the street that only charges $3 with restaurant validation. When crowded you might have to wait a bit longer for your food because everthing is made fresh. The tubule is made only after you order it. They make the Hummas fresh daily. I love First Oasis.
