How to alienate a customer
A great value if you don't mind the appallingly rude service. Got to the restaurant at 6:30, and, before ordering drinks, was told that they had reservations after us. We were with friends, and didn't want to leave - but would never return.

Awesome atmosphere, average food
one of the most awesome restaurants decor wise...it's a little, romantic, italian villa feeling place...candles, paintings, low lighting, intimate but still lively setting. the menus are books that when you open them, light up. very, very warm & inviting & quaint. unfortunately, the food did not live up to the decor. but, in fairness to them, we went during the hurricane time and they were completely slammed with people. so, maybe the cooking was a little off because of that. i would like to try them one more time, and hope the food is better. would be a perfect spot if they could kick the food up a notch.

Unappetizing
having had a delicious meal in the restaurant i decided to order in. my caesar salad tasted off. called to complain and the person who answered the phone made me feel like i was doing something wrong by letting him know. with all the other italian restaurants on the ues this is one i will never order from again.

Great food and wonderful service
Love this restaurant, the food is always delicious and the staff is so kind and welcoming. Nothing beats a little bit of old world Italian service and great meals in NYC!

Superb!
I do not usually write a review but this place is fantastic. Very romantic place. The food and service were excellent. Our waiter was very accommodating. Would go back in a heart beat.

Best restaurant
Since moving to the UES 1 year ago, this is the only restaurant we continue to return to (4 times so far). Outstounding food, value, service, and atmosphere if you like small intimate restaurants. sort of the opposite of Elios which we went to once. Due to 2nd avenue subway construction, a bit hard to find but worth it. They are very accomodating, making items such as veal picatta or marsala which are not on the regular menu. The sabayon, made at the table is exceptional.

Amazing
Excellent service, atmosphere, food...phenomenal. Best bruschetta I've ever had, and the apple dessert was to die for!
