    Love It!

The food here is amazing and CHEAP! For brunch, I had the apple and almond pancakes. Easily the best pancakes I've ever had, they are only $8 - and the portion was very generous. The fried calamari and zucchini is excellent. Other good bets - the monkfish, the leek and sausage omlette, fried mozzarella sandwich, carbonara. You really can't go wrong with Fiore.

I like this fish even though I don't like fish

get the monkfish. even if you don't think you like fish. it's that good. seriously. we don't love the chicken (but we like it) the house salad was notable...other salads are not.... or just skip the entrees and get a dessert.....you will not be sorry. the tiramisu is huge and amazing. the cinn. ice cream is better than you can imagine.

    not that impressive

when fiore first opened i wanted so much to like it because it was inexpensive and homey italian fare. and yes, that's exactly what they delivered initially. but now that this place has been around for a year or two, the menu has degenerated to nothing that exciting - the basic standards only. gone are the great dishes you can't find at any other neighborhood restaurant. i will say the prices are very reasonable, but the food generally is underseasoned, bland and very one-note. a recent visit yielded me an expensive special entree of pasta with scallops that desperately cried for fresh lemon juice. the carbonara sauce tasted old and gluey during another trip. i can see why this place appeals to the neighborhood locals for its value and cozy atmosphere but there are better places in the area that are worth searching out. service is a little slow, even when nearly empty.

    Well done

Sweet little general purpose Italian joint. Not the greatest restaurant in the world but I don't think they're trying to be and that, I think, is why it works. I've been on dates, had a quick bite with friends and had large birthday parties and all were equally enjoyable. They seem to do a lot of things well. A wide but simple menu and the prices are fantastic.
